The Little Black Songbook: Dire Straits M.Knopfler

Brought for my husband who is a big mark knopfler fan and is starting a tribute band. He usually gets song words and chords on the internet but these are what someone thinks are correct, with this book he can make sure the songs are correct. Obviously as it's the little book it has to be small but it would be great to get a big version as we have to type the songs out larger so he can see while playing.

This book is a perfect gift for anyone who loves Dire Straits/ MArk Knopfler. I have no idea about what is in the book , because I do not know guitar , but my daughter said is absolutely perfect .. and I trust her.

As an old rocker & guitarist [ 65 years ] I thought I could figure out chords for most regular songs. Mark Knopfler's work sounds easy but it just wouldn't come together. Reading this book tells me why,he uses chords that you would never guess straight away. To get his sound this book goes a long way to help, my only grouse is it's too small to fit a song on two pages so you have to turn over half way through.

This is the best guitar book I have ever bought. I like the layout and the way the chords are noted throughout the verses, etc.The book has all the songs you would want to see of Knopfler's, both solo and Dire Straits.There is not a better songbook of his work.

I'm sure this is a good book but it's way above my head as a relative newcomer to guitar, so pretty useless to me until I become expert.

Excellent book with all the major songs included. Very useful as it shows the actual tuning and chords used. Something not always obvious to the learner unless you spend a lot of time researching.

This was a gift and what a gift? The person I bought this for loves mark knopflier. It's your own little black book,only instead of phone numbers it has all the best songs all compact into this fabulous little easy to carry anywhere book.

The Little Black Songbook series is good value with plenty of song lyrics and chords from the ever popular Mark Knopfler and the earlier Dire Straits material. As always with these books in their various titles they are excellent value

Comme pour les autres livres de la collection, les transcriptions des accords sont fidèles et le format est idéal. Elles permettent de s'amuser assez rapidement sur nos titres préférés. Bien sur, on est loin des détails, de la richesse et de la subtilité du jeu de Knopfler mais ce n'est pas du tout la prétention de cet ouvrage.

My co-sign loved having this as reference. He is a master guitarist, but having this made his picking much more magnificent. Knopfler is a genius. LOVE this compilation.
