1800 uses a lot of power we have to be sure not to use other kitchen appliances on same circuit while toasting or the 20 amp breaker flips. Otherwise great toaster!!

I am not sure as I was not paying attention to those details. I will add though, that the mechanism to lift toast out of the burner slot early has already failed and for that kind of money you could probably buy 2 or 3 maybe 4 cheaper toasters and pitch them as they die.
