Best Hand weight holder for disabled people
These were recommended for my husband’s hands as he is learning how to use them again and needs to strengthen his arms. Great for those who cannot hold weights in their hands. Craig Hospital (#1 SCI & Brain Injury hospital in the USA) recommended these as they use something very similar if not the actual ones.

Good Grip
I have a spinal cord injury that left me with 30% use of my one hand and 65% of my other. I need to weight lift because it's very hard to lift much of anything from wheelchair. I 've been losing all the muscle that I had. I've use these before in therapy and they work great for my bad hand. They put my hand in the lifting position in hopes that something will connect in telling my nerves I need them. The down side is in some lifts you will need help in getting in and out. The one lift is pull downs where your hands are above you head. The other down side is the expensive, Now for my better hand, I bought some hooks that seem to work. I can wrap my hand around them and get some use of my hand. There cost is a fraction of the cost. So, I will use both type, the hook style for my good hand and these for my bad hand,

Great Quality
Great quality. My daughter uses the active hand at least 4 times a week. It has held up to allow her to improve her workout

If you don't have any hand function, this is your best option. It makes you have as tight of grip as you require, or you can set things loose if you need to get your hand free. This is very well made of strong materials, the quality is unrivaled. This is really the only option that allows you to have skin contact, full adjust ability of grip strength, and positive grip with no hand function in one product. You can use this without fingers. The rings allow use with a weak opposite hand.

Pricey but its well made and strong.
Its really holds the grip specially for a paralyzed hand to grip on a hand bike to workout. Its a bit pricey.

Invaluable therapy aid
I’m recovering from a stroke and can not hold anything for more than a few seconds. This has been a massive help, allowing me to use weights and therapy bans I otherwise could not. It’s a little pricey, but worth it. Don’t bother with the alternative product that uses the plastic buckle. This is the one you want. Regarding size, I have a relatively small hand, but the “small” was too small for me. If you wear a small adult glove, get the medium or”regular” u believe they call it.

Just not for me
These things look like a terrific prosthetic/assistive devise. I really like the way they are built. They are very user friendly and very simple to put on, after a few seconds of working it out. I bought them to use in the Gym but unfortunately they are not for me. My crush-amputated and sort of rebuilt 3 fingers are just not a good match for this device. I can see how it would be ideal for other people and even for me if my replants were different. I do not think these would hold up to lifting heavy weights for too long. Especially if you are twisting and sliding the bars like with supinated to pronated curls or overhead triceps extensions but I imagine with straight forward static holds like in a deadlift, row or pulldown/pullup movement they would last longer. That's just my opinion but again I think these are an amazing product. I am back to using Weight Hooks and wrist weights. Limitations but better than nothing. Thank you to all involved with The Active Hands Company. Keep up the good work.

My son thought this might help him, but it doesn’t help at all. A stroke left his left side paralyzed
