My 20lb poodle mix broke a previous leash we bought so I thought I would try this. It's very sturdy. I wish I had bought a longer one because this is to attach to the garage while doing chores and it's not as long as the one that broke but that was my mistake. It's a good leash.

This gets 5 stars across the board. I normally do bot give 5 stars. I save 5 stars for absolute awesome products.I needed a longer leash. Our silver lab pulls and pulls on walks. We have tried everything, every harness to slow her down. She gets so excited about walks that we cant even say the word "Walk"....or she goes ballistic with excitement. Now we spell it. However, she truly is so smart that we cant even spell it. She knows what that means too now.Anyway, I'm off base now. This leash was very affordable and well worth the bucks.It is designed using real climbing rope. And, at the end where you hold it, it contains a built-in loop to put your hand into. This is very helpful while walking. And, this loop has sponging material that makes it softer to hold it in case the dog lunges a head after seeing a cat.It is 10 feet long, which is long for a leash. However, what we found is that it.gives her a lot more room to run around and explore within the 10 foot radius of thos longer leash. Therefore, ultimately she does NOT pull nearly as much as she did on shorter leash because she has more range. Walking on beach is perfect with this longer leash.If you have a strong dog that pulls and pulls on walks....seriously, try a much longer leash like thos 10footer. It will seem like dog isnt pulling as much or as hard.

It's a nice leash, doesn't work well for my dog, but that's not the leashed design fault. If your dog is strong/heavy you might want a leash without the stretch this has. If your dog goes to run at something when he hits the end of the leash the tention created is increased due to the bungee effect. Which might make it more comfortable for the dog, not sure. But for the handler it increases the strength required to control the dog. My 50 lb whippet mix does perfect on it, shes a perfect walker though. I've got a 80 lb mastiff puppy, not happening, atleast not safely, and I'm rather fit and very use to handling large dogs. Instead I've decided to use it as a tether, works great for that, he can fly to the end and it has some give so it doesn't hurt him. It is strong I'll mention that, he chews it at times and it's still perfectly fine which is sayjng something. I'd recommend as a tether or for dogs under 40/50 lbs or so.

Sturdy

The leash is pretty tough. The top layer has become fuzzy but no biggie. I like the longer length because it lets my husky have more range on our walks and keeps me on the sidewalk the whole time. I like the rose color...something I found quite hard to find online as I was trying to match it with a harness from another brand. The black plastic covers on both ends have started sliding off...assume they are just pushed in on both ends but not glued or anything...also no biggie. Overall, I still recommend this leash.

My pitbull loves to pull and this handle makes it easier on my hands. It is super soft and durable. The clip is smaller than I was expecting, I may switch it out with a bigger clip as my boy is about 70 lbs and I don't want to take the chance of it breaking.

I had never owned a nonretractable leash. I got this because my dog kept breaking thr large dog retractable about every 3 months. This one has lasted about a year now and still in like new shape. Easy to handle. And maybe the dog is just out of puppy stage, but he seems easier to control with this leash. Just a great investment for the price.

I have a two year old Labrador who has chewed through every other leash I've purchased in the past. I selected this leash based on the recommendation of a pet store employee who himself had purchased it.The 10 foot length works well, allowing my dog to explore but not so far away that I can't control him if he inadvertently gets into something he shouldn't. There is no stretch to this leash, which I appreciate, and the handle is nicely padded.. The reflective strip is a nice added feature too.Most importantly, after two years he has failed to chew through it. I purchased my second one earlier this week because the outer covering was just starting to fray.

We bought this lead for our 28KG dog, the rope might be strong, however, the clasp was not. When out walking the dog he got spooked by a motorbike, bolted forward and the clasp snapped and the dog went running out into a busy main road, weaving in between cars. It's really lucky he was safe and wasn't hit by a vehicle.The glue holding the rope together didn't look all that good either.This lead had been misadvertised. "And the very durable metal clip hook will never fall off to ensure your dog will not lose control of you." - this is not a durable metal clip hook, it's cheap and breaks easily.DO NOT BUY!

The metal clip snapped after 1 week. My husky puppy (10 months, weight 27kg) does pull when she sees another dog but the metal hook doesn’t look to be strong enough compared to the 5ft lead I have (different brand but looks similar also sold on Amazon). If the metal hook was bigger then I would give this product 5 stars.

The media could not be loaded.  Lead sturdy enough but rubber covers don't stay in place and the finished ends are a bit rough on the fingers
