No polarity problem.
No problem with polarity as mentioned in other reviews. Replaced the battery connector in my wife's portable sonotrax. Direct fit, no problems. Put in new battery, works great!

Could be 5 Stars if...
Saved my skin with my electronic safe lock. Unfortunately, due to multiple 9V battery swaps over the years, the flexible 9V connector finally gave up the ghost. This part is the only one I could find anywhere that saved me having to buy a new lock. However, the polarity is backwards for my S&G lock design. Here are two things that would make this a 5-star product: [1] offer both polarity options, and [2] replace the flexible 9V clip with a hard plastic clip.

Good product - check polarity before installing
Decent product (really the only one I could find on here). Someone else here mentioned this, and I completely forgot before trying it. Before you install, you'll need to check the polarity. From the factory it is wrong, as the black wire is on the positive side of the plug. You can change it by pushing in on the silver part and carefully pulling out the wires, and then reversing them.

Repaired at low cost
The battery snap-on on my safe lock had deformed and I thought I would have to get new electronics. This repaired it with ease just like original wire. Now my g#ns are safe and sound.

Be careful
The positive and negative poles are reversed. This product is defective. Batteries immediately heated up.
