My sister is elderly and needed some type of assistance when walking. She had a regular walker (the kind with 2 front wheels and the back legs slide) but it did not work well for edges of area rugs. Also, she frequently has some dizziness and there was no place for her to sit and recover. I decided to order this transport chair rolling walker - and she LOVES it! Rolls right over the carpet edges and rolls very well on smooth surfaces. She is able to lock the brakes and it does not roll away when she sits. Also, it is an ideal transport chair - folds easily, light weight enough to load easily for a fit person. I am able to push from either the back or front and the under-the-seat compartment fits her purse perfectly. For our situation, I don't bother to lower or raise the handle because she can rest her arms comfortable as is. However, this does give the walker another nice feature if necessary to adjust the handles. We are extremely happy with this product!

I love this. It's my new best friend. My legs. I'm mobile again. I'm a senior, nearing 70, but not frail. My weight is good, 118 lbs, so there is no stress pushing me if needed. I have osteoporosis and have fallen and broken quite a few bones and I can't handle another fall. My last break was my left leg right underneath my hip and it can't hold my weight without pain. If I can't walk somewhere my husband has to find a wheelchair, so I often haven't left the house. I tried to use my flimsey gray walker outside, but they are dangerous. It comes to a stop if it goes over a leaf and you have to look down at your feet while walking. I searched and searched for a trasport/walker. I had to be able to get it in and out of the backseat if my car. I used a wheelchair indoors. But not anymore! It is painful to walk, but I'm walking. It is by my side everywhere I go. I can walk across the lawn to get the mail. I went to the grocery store by myself for the first time in almost 2 years, putting grocery bags on the seat, checking out and loading groceries. I took them inside and put everything away. I am self-sufficient again! It goes down the bumpy driveway. I can walk with good posture and walk with a stride instead if a shuffle. I can work in my garden while sitting in the seat. I should have gotten it sooner! I can see if you are a big, overweight person it wouldn't work as well, but if you are in a situation like me, and you need a pair of legs with good support, I wouldn't hesitate another day to buy it! Also, very easy to put together. Snap the handle bars in and snap in the backrest. I almost forgot. My spine is painful. I can't sit up straight for long. At home I can sit and lean back against both bars. I use the curved insert from a back brace to lean on. I attached a water and phone holder. The brace slips under it securely when I don't need it.

I posted a review yesterday from information my Mom had given me, about her and my dad falling over while he was pushing her in the rollator. But it WASN'T THIS ROLLATOR that they fell with!!! Today I talked with her and found out she WAS NOT using THIS product, but was using a similar walker, NOT THIS ONE!! This product is a WONDERFUL product...even if it had been the one they fell with, it was mis-use that caused the fall. I'm leaving most of what I said about it, but taking out the part about them falling when hitting a large crack in the concrete. I still give this one FIVE STARS, and would give more if possible. Here is what I said, minus the wrong information: The unit is strong and sturdy and allows a person to walk until tired, and then easily just turn around and sit comfortably. Then it can be pushed by someone else, somewhat like a wheelchair.I had a chance to use it to take Mom shopping, and found it to be a bit difficult to maneuver when pushing it with someone sitting in it, because in order for it to be stable as a walker, two of the wheels don't pivot. So when pushing someone, (using the push bar) you have to work harder to round corners. It was OK for me, but would possibly be difficult for a frail person to push. Also, the pusher has no brakes for going downhill, because the brakes are on the other side for the person who had been walking.This is still a GOOD AND STURDY product. It is a good solution for the person who just DOESN'T WANT to use a wheelchair, but still needs a little help or a convenient rest when walking.I must add that this rollator has given the family a way to take Mom out shopping, dining, and just out and about. We are all very grateful for it. I guess my post which included a warning about broken sidewalks, potholes, etc. wasn't so bad...it's still good to be careful. I think you will enjoy this product.
