JR Products GSNI 5300-20
Ordered Aug 19, 2018 this to replace the original one in my 2007 Bigfoot Camper. which had finally given up the ghost. Replaced the original, which was easy. A month later, I went out to prep the camper for a trip (it had not been used in the interim), and found the strut was no longer working. Contacted Amazon, and got a replacement. This one lasted almost a year (with minimal use), before it lost all gas pressure. Contacted the company, about two weeks ago, and as yet, I have not had any response.I have ordered a Lavanture SPD-5300-20, we will see how this one works. It does seem to have more initial pressure than the JR Products, but that may be subjective

Good for 2 months. That's it.
A steel threaded rod attached to...a plastic ball socket? Yep. It's true. No reinforcement to speak of.In the end, that means this gas spring only lasted 2 months on my RV door.Even if they had a steel threaded insert inside the plastic ball socket, that might make it last 6 months.Who, in their right mind, would make a product where steel threads meet up with plastic threads? Just doesn't make sense. It's a failure waiting to happen.

Failed in less than 2 years
Purchased for an RV door. We use the RV about 4 months per year; the gas spring failed after less than 2 years.

Logan Horse Trailer door strut replacement
This was a perfect replacement for our Logan horse trailer door strut. The locking clips are better designed than the stock pin clips and easier to use.

Good direct replacement for camper door spring
Bought this as a direct replacement for the gas strut on my Bigfoot camper door. Works great. You'll need some tools to pop the clips off your old one and install this one.

Works well.
Installed this on a chest at the Church where a heavy lid is opened weekly. So far it works as advertised.A little hard to open the ends to insert the ball joint bracket, must read the instructions onthe package and lever the clips with a screwdriver(s), but this is only once.Hope it lasts.
