These are for "holes" and grab internally. The other type of screw/bolt extractor grab externally. So to use this particular set, you want to use a metal or cobalt bit to drill a hole in your broken bolt. You only need to go as deep as the extractor head. One your hole is drilled, then take a hammer and gently tap one of the extrators into the hole. Then using a hardened/impact socket, rotate and loosen your broken bolt. DO NOT use an air gun or impact wrench. Do this by hand using a breaker bar. You may need to tap the extractor in a few times and repeat the process. Be patient, it will work. Also, use penetrating oil such as Liquid Wrench on the stuck bolt as well. That will help a lot. There are videos on You Tube if you need further explanation. Good luck Oscar ! **Q: Do you have any special tips for removing a soft aluminum oil drain plug? it was a torx. have drilled out a smooth 1/2 inch hole.** A: I have these on multiple metals and they worked perfectly every time, so they should work on your drain plug. **Q: Where is this made?** A: There is no country of origin on the case or any of the individual extractors. It’s possible something was on the sleeve. But I don’t recall anything but a plain white card stock sleeve. **Q: Can I get two of them replaced?
