Quickword: The Ultimate Word Game

I had bought this several years ago, when I wanted something beyond Scrabble and Boggle" for an occasional game night with friends. The clerk in the score recommended this one, and the clincher was that it had won a couple of awards--the Top 100 Games and What Toy awards. It turned out to be a great choice and one I've played many times with various groups of friends and neighbors. It consists of a board with spinner, several tokens, a 90-second timer, a die, scorepads and decks of blue, green, pink and gray cards. What makes it wonderful is that the cards each have a different type of task the players must accomplish, racing against the clock. Some require you to make lists of specific types of things, e.g., Anything associated with a library, or dog breeds; others that you list as many words as you can that begin with a certain letter and include certain other letters in a specified order, and so on. Each person will have certain types of tasks they will love, and others they abhor! It gets your mind shifting nimbly as opposed to other games that are challenging but require players to do the same thing over and over.

Secondhand game in remarkably good condition with all parts etc in the box. Looking forward to playing with grownup friends and family.
