Works nice in my 1996 Subaru Legacy
I put this bulb in my 1996 Subaru Legacy and it's quite nice. The headlights on that particular vehicle are a rather poor/weak design in terms of the amount of illumination they are capable of producing. I've used the next higher grade Sylvania bulbs (Silverstar Ultra) and I feel that they are no better than these Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. In fact I like these regular Silverstar bulbs better than the higher grade Ultras because they have a less warm color.

Bought them for my wife's Mercedes benz. Always make sure to use gloves when installing. Otherwise your hand oils will burn them out within 3 months.

Keep Your Receipt
Used bulbs during day driving as well as night driving. Bulbs WILL burn out after 3-4 months and will have to go through trouble of going through warranty. KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS! Bulbs are bright in day and night driving.

White & bright
My second purchase of this bulb. The last one burned out (low beam) after an estimated 8,000 miles on my motorcycle (low beam always on, higher than usual service engine vibrations). I can live with the shorter than stock life expectancy because the light is brighter and whiter. I see better at night and during the day other traffic notices the light quicker in my opinion. The bulb uses stock wiring and oncoming traffic does not appear to be irritated by the brighter light.

Brighter and whiter than standard halogens.
I've used Silverstar headlights for years now without any problems. 6054ST in my old 1998 Jeep Cherokee, 9006ST & 9007ST in my wife's 1998 Buick LeSabre, and just bought these 9003ST for my 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe. Despite other reviews that say they don't last, I've had to change them only once in each car since the Silverstars first came out. Actually the 9007ST are still the original set, and they're on all the time as DRLs. They are definitely brighter and whiter than standard halogens.

Not any brighter than factory headlights. Both blew after 4 months of use. When I install them I was sure not to touch the glass. I install these in an 09 Nissan Versa without daytime running lamps.

Okay for the price.
I bought these for my 1998 Chevy truck, not as bright as I thought they would be, I had some Silver star sealed beams in my old truck that were much brighter than these.

Average brightness, horrible life
I read the reviews for this bulb, and on reading about the less-than-stellar life of the bulbs, ignored the advice to stay away because I assumed the life was shortened due to installer error (touching the bulb, bumping it during install).Well, my first pair of bulbs lasted 4 months, and I did not touch the bulbs (only the plastic base connector) nor did I bump them against anything while installing. I even wore clean, plastic gloves to prevent any accidental contact. After the first bulb burned out, the other one burned out within a week. Luckily, my order for another pair of bulbs had arrived. Amazon was running a great sale on these bulbs so I decided to give them another shot. We'll see how long this pair lasts.Just for comparison: the OEM headlamps on my car were Osram Sylvania (same brand) bulbs, and they lasted 3.5 _years_.My advice: do some research and just go to a local parts store to buy your headlight bulbs.
