The Adventures of Lily Huckleberry in Japan (with Japan patch)

My first grader absolutely loves Lily! The adventures and experiences she goes on made her laugh and ask great questions. We got the first book to teach her about where she was from (Scandinavia). We had no idea the details in the illustrations and the story line would be so much fun. As an adult , I enjoyed the stories factual history at the end That made you go back and reinvent the story and it’s pictures. I was excited to use to teach her more about her heritage as well. She also loved the patch that comes in the book. The idea of exploration was exciting for her. She found out there was a second and can’t wait for more series. We hope they keep coming out with more soon! We see this series being part of her book collection for many years.... great buy!

This is a very adventuresome tale of a very brave Lily who learns so much about different cultures as she travels around the world. The 2nd book in the series and just as delightful as the first. We learned much about Japan culture as we read the fun story that took us twists and turns while solving a mystery. We met all sorts of folks who we got to know! Can't wait to see where Lily's magic globe takes her next! A must read for everyone who loves adventure!

A sweet book for girls ages 5 -10. I bought this for my granddaughter who has visited her grandparents in Japan on numerous occasions. Lily holds many traditions of the Japanese culture and I felt my granddaughter could revisit Japan in the quiet of her room whenever she felt like she was missing the country of her mother and grandparents. It will be fun to see where Lily's adventures take her next. It opens a dialogue to encourage our children to become citizens of the world. I highly recommend this book.

We adore the Lilly Huckleberry books. My children reference things they heard in the books on a daily basis and they are just so so charming! I highly recommend this one as well as the 1st book in the series where Lilly goes to Scandinavia ❤️

My three and a half year old granddaughter wants MORE Lily Huckleberry hullabaloo, and so do I. We have the Scandinavian and the Japanese adventures and I’m going to buy every Lily Huckleberry adventure that gets published. Wonderful, fun, liberated, brave Lily will take your girls into lovely landscapes with crazy twists and turns and elves and tunnels and mermaids and Vikings and Sumo wrestlers and great friendships along the way. Beautifully illustrated and beautifully designed books to treasure. Five stars.

Lily Huckleberry has become our dear adventure friend! Her travels inspire our homeschool studies! The illustrations in this book are nothing short of magical! My kids will sit for the longest time admiring the art work and talking about the story line! My kids choose this book all the time and can't wait for the next release! We LOVE the Lilly Huckleberry books so much! My daughter spends time examining the whimsical intricacies of the drawings on each page. Lilly is scared and brave, silly and smart, and collects friends wherever she goes. My daughter loves finding Lilly’s adventure lands on our world maps. Such a great balance of whimsy, learning to be brave, the importance of kindness, and exploring new cultures and landscapes.
