How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming [DVD]

This is a happy new installment in the 'How To Train Your Dragon' Franchise! If you love Toothless, Hiccup, Astrid, Light Fury, & your old fun favorites, you will love the amazing great new additions to the Berk Family; like Toothless & Lifht Fury's 3 baby spunky, adorable dragons, filled with light & personality. Then there are Hiccup's 2 growing young children he shares with Astrid whom are in some ways, as tenacious as the two young Berkians when they were young. This is a Christmas story that takes place years after the dragons had made there decent to the Hidden World. The young generations had started to believe the old frightening stories about dragons once more, & forgot that once Vikings & Dragons were friends. Hiccup & Gobber attemp to put on a holiday theatre show to help set the scene for how the children's parents saved Berk, befriended the dragons, & saved the Viking World... and the Dragons too. This short film has many hilarious incidents & quips made by the original cast, so it is so fun to watch. Many things take left and right turns, and surprises make for warm hearted new memories! I am very pleased I added this to my collection. I am such a huge 'HTTYD' fan, I knew even without seeing a preview, I had to own it, and I am so glad I do!

Thoroughly entertaining.

I’ve seen many reviews dissing this HTTYD Homecoming DVD mini movie. Those ppl are obviously not real HTTYD fans. The third HTTYD movie (Hidden World) is the last and final full length movie, there will be no more. They MAY make more mini movies like this one but they don’t even know for sure. Anyways, this DVD is great and plays exactly as it did when it first aired on TV.

(Edit: I don't understand the negative reviews. Of course it's just a short; there was no big theater release and like ALL of the other shorts in this series, e.g. Gift Of The Night Fury, Dawn Of The Dragon Riders, etc. they're all about 20-23mins long. I guess if you're unaware of the other shorts I could see somebody being slightly disappointed. I'm a huge fan and I loved it.) Such a sweet, heart warming story, and a lovely addition to the end of something magical. It's devastating to know that there won't be any more adventures for the dragon riders and their loyal companions. But if this is the last little tidbit, they did a great job bringing it full circle from the short "Gift Of The Night Fury", it transitions beautifully as a glimpse 18yrs after their very first Snoggletog together. Plus it was a joy to see more of both Hiccup's and Toothless's families and their children's personalities. My Snoggletog wish is that this series, the movies, the TV shows, the miracles and magic would go on forever...❤ *If this review was informative please hit the helpful button below.

Fantastic short film. Sadly it is short, wish it was an hour at least...that’s its only downfall. Adorable film, honestly had me in tears at one point, pulls at the heart strings. (I just had a baby, hormones ate all over the place, LOL) my 6 & 4 year old loved it, but also stated the obvious....it was too short.

Mijn kind was heel enthousiast dat we deze dvd kon bestellen, maar helaas zijn we pas na aankomst van de DVD erachter gekomen dat deze onder NTSC regio valt. En dat wij hem in Nederland en de rest van Europa niet kunnen afspelen. Het zou wel fijn zijn als dat duidelijker wordt aangegeven.
