Corelle Livingware 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Secret Garden, Service for 4

I purchased three dinnerware sets. My original Corelle everday use set was approachingtwenty years of service. The pattern is pleasing to the eye and not overdone. They have thesame quality and finish as my older set. The mugs however are made of stoneware and a little on the heavy side, not a major problem. The dishes have been washed many times in the dishwasher with no pattern fade or loss of finish.

Just as we expected, light and very nice design. The cups are light but not too light, heavy but not too heavy. It feels like holding something solid in the hand.The colors are a pleasant blue, not too blue.This is my first corelle product. I hope it is good before I decide to buy more. I plan to replace many of my stuff with corelle product.

Everything was packed very well, in a box with images of the product on the front. I believe it was shipped from Walmart. Pattern is delightful - more beautiful in person. The dishes are nearly indestructible; however, somehow we managed to chip one plate. I wouldn't fault the product, though - our toddler likes to throw things to see how they land. With ordinary use these will last forever, as my parents' set did while I was growing up.

I spent a few months looking for a dinnerware set that I like, convenient to use, no leeching of chemicals and fit my budget. I read reviews of many dinnerware products on amazon and other retail store websites, I went to retail stores too.I ordered a set of 'secret garden' about a month ago. The pattern and the color of the plates and cereal bowls look exactly the same as in the picture. The color and shape of the mug has a slight difference.Plates and bowls(5 stars+) - light weight ( perfect for daily use), easy to clean, takes less cabinet space, dishwasher save and to warm in microwave and oven, the simple and clean enhancement on the rim adds presentation to the food. Everyone in my family loves it. I use the big plates for lunch and dinner, small plates for dessert and cut-up fruit. I enjoy the plates and bowls every time when I use it.Mugs(3 stars) - the color is 1 to 2 shades lighter than the picture, a little heavy, the shape of the mug has a slight difference to the picture too. Not very comfortable when use. We use the mugs that we have and put these mugs away.Overall the dinnerware set is a great buy from amazon, economical, versatile, save on food, beautiful on the table. I ordered another set after 10 days.

I ordered 4 sets of corelle withAmazon free shipping. It was thebest price I could find on the net.There was one broken plate, withina few days, Amazon sent a replacement.I also had problems trying to geta refund ticket which was my fault. The 1st time I tried, my computerfroze up. The 2nd time, my computerran out of ink.However, Amazon saw me throughoutmy ordeal. Their customer serviceis second to none with very promptemails addressing my concerns.In my college business book, itstated Amazon was in business forthe long run. That must be absolutelytrue!Furthermore, as far as corelleis concerned, I had an eight placesetting for 25 years.I still used them whenordering these with a complete5 place setting plus! I had movedat least 10 times in the 25 years.They are the best dishes especiallyfor people with butterfingers and kids!Take note that the mugs aremade of stoneware. However,they are getting plenty ofuse since they are largerthan the original cups.I rarely used the old cups.I gave the old set to PrincessPunkin, my toy poodle, as glassdoes not harbor germs like plastic.For germ-free dishes add a smallamount of clorox bleach to yourdishwater!

The bowls are plain white with blue line on edging. NOT FLORAL like in photo!

this was the best price I could find anywhere on either the internet or in any store. Shipping needs to be improved as far as packing goes. They did use air bags,but the outside box was so large that inside box with china in it was slidding around. As soon as I picked up the box from my porch I knew something was broken. One dinner plate was smashed into hundreds of tiny glass slivers. There was a number to call if any thing was broken. I called.In one week I had my dinner plate.No problem.

Great dinnerware set. Light and easy to store and wash by hand. Would recommend to my older friends because of the lightness.

These are very elegant and very light. They are true to their claim of them being chip resistant, the bowls have slipped off my hands a few times while washing. I did not see any chip or crack. If it was just porcelain, I am sure I would have broken them all already.

The plates and bowls are lightweight and a good size. The mugs match nicely with the set. I bought this after having bought and discarded heavy stoneware/earthenware crockery - I am keeping this set!!!
