I have an electric bike that can get up to ~70 MPH and I ride it at least 6 miles almost everyday. These brakes tend to last me about a YEAR! That's really amazing. I had tried other disk brakes on my previous, slower electric bikes and they wore out much faster than these bad boys. For non-electric bikes I'm sure they would last much longer than a year.

I push these brakes and pads to their limits in both speed and moving mass. I have burned through at least 4 sets of pads in that time while moving a very heavy fully suspended tour bike with 4 panniers, 3 bar-bags and a single wheel suspended trailer. If I had had any problem with them I would have scrapped them.

These pads came on our Juiced ODK U500 bikes. We have put them through 500 miles (1000 miles between two bikes) of heavy use – from carrying our five year old, to a week's worth of groceries, to flying down hills at 30 mph – and have kept their original stopping power straight through till they need replacement. Of course, this has much to do with the brakes themselves as well.So long as you keep your brakes and pads in tip-top shape, there's no reason these shouldn't last you 500 miles as well.

I purchased these replacement brake pads for my Tektro Dorado hydraulic disk brakes. I guess they are okay, but the brakes themselves are junk. The brakes leak fluid and there is no way at all to maintain a consistent grip point on the brake; they always had a spongy feel, even when they were new. I recently switched to manual disk brakes (a different brand), so I didn't get much use out of these pads anyway.
