Easy to set up and operate
This is my first reloading press and I am 100% satisfied. It is extremely easy to operate. I didn't think I would but I'm using all six turrets for each caliber I'm reloading. I bought an extra turret so I don't have to remove the dies each time I change calibers. I bought a 1 1/8 wrench to tighten the die locking bolts. I have to say it was extremely difficult to fit the handle in press. I had to rotate the locking bolt several times to work in the grooves to screw the handle in the press. This press is sturdy and makes reloading that much easier. Setup is quick and simple.

Great Press!
Absolutely love this press. Just purchased my 2nd one. Use one dedicated for 9mm and will use one dedicated for 38. Everything else I do on a single stage. Probably should have just bought a another turret but the cost of the turret is kinda high and the cost of the complete press was a deal. Only criticism is the spent primer catch tray. Really kinda like the tube on the Lee Classic Cast better for collecting the primers but it's not really enough to worry about. The press is smooth and reliable.

Great turret press
Decided to upgrade from my rock chucker ll and after much debate I picked this turret press. So far I'm down to about 20sec a round. This press indexes well, smooth operation, and reproducible. It is very study too! I have no complaints so far. Opened it up, cleaned out the factory oil, and loaded 400 .40 cal with ease. It only comes with the primer arm and not the auto feeder. The 'universal' feeder is unfortunately not compatible so consider buying one if you do not hand prime. The only other comparable turret is the t-7 but I wouldn't change my decision after buying the lyman.

First Press and Love it
4 Stars all the way... I set it up according to the instructions but did not tighten down the plate bolt enough which came "loose" and I had a hard time figuring out why the loaded rounds were coming out a little off.... Once I got it found and fixed she works just as I would expect.... I do wish the primer catcher was made a bit better, still works fine but looks and feels cheap, need to dump it often to not make a mess on the floor with old primers when removing it to empty...She makes great and accurate cartridges now with all the settings "dialed in", consistant and easy to use... I am a beginner and did not want a single stage or a progressive, this Turret is in the middle and I do like the individual feel of each round being made...

Great press
This is a great press. I've used other turret presses (red ones), and they are not in the same league. Powerful and precise. I am very happy with this piece of equipment. I've been using it so far to full-length re-size .308 and .223 brass (a job which my old press was failing at) with zero problems. The only reason I didn't give the press a full 5 stars is because of the priming system. Compared to any other press I've used it's just not normal, it neither primes on the bottom or top of the stroke, it's just kinda in the middle of the stroke somewhere. Makes it very difficult to get a good feel on the primer seating. I went back to using my LEE auto prime (press-mount, and the hand tool.), much easier, and much better feel. Awesome press for the money, just get a better priming system while your shopping and life will be good.

Great replacement for the old Spartan single stage press.
After 41 years, my old Lyman Spartan Press handle snapped off at the base of the threads during a long session of full length resizing and decapping of about 300 surplus .308 cases. (Hint, be sure the handle is tightly screwed in at all times. Even a partial turn loose weakens it to the point where it will snap off). Instead of just replacing the old handle, I looked around at what was new in presses and found this Lyman T-Mag Press on Amazon at a very reasonable price and decided to update the reloading bench. Delivery was prompt and set up was easy. The T-Mag handled the remaining 200 surplus cases and an additional 1000 in 5.56 without a problem. Much more robust, better leverage and smoother operation than the old Lyman Spartan press which served me well for decades. Next, I tackled a batch of .45 acp and .40 S&W. The turret holds 6 dies at once and is easily rotated from one to the next. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of time saved in the reloading process by being able to go through each step without having to remove the case from the shell holder and swap out dies for each stage. I expect that this Lyman T-Mag is the last press that I will ever need and highly recommend it.

The lever moves freely when operated without shell casting in ...
The lever moves freely when operated without shell casting in holder, but once shell casting is in gauged in any die there seems to be a rough spot in linkage. shell holder could use a spring retainer to hold it in place it moves around a lot making it necessary to adjust it every time you do a function.

Nice press - well made.
A well built unit typical of Lyman. Saves me a lot of time when two stages are required (i.e. size and bell of pistol rounds.) Also you can keep one set of frequently used dies set up while having three more slots for occasional use of other calibers. I recommend this unit as a nice step up over a single stage press. Overall I am very happy with the press and would recommend to anyone wanting a turret style press.

Press is very sturdy with no turret movement when full length resizing
Press is very sturdy with no turret movement when full length resizing. The turret also has a very positive detent for positioning. The press is very well designed and built with the exception of the primer catcher which is flimsy and moves out of position very easily.

Great press. Turret is nice and tight
Great press. Turret is nice and tight. I had a small issue with the spring clip on the self primer, gave it a slight bend and it stopped hanging up. Very happy and a good price.
