Photo with dimensions
Very solid product. Great for what I needed. I used it to raise my hitch to tow my lifted jeep. Someone had some questions on dimensions so I added a photo. Hope it helps

NOT a well made product, will NOT work with all ball shanks
!!BE ADVISED!!The receiver tube section of this unit will NOT receive a standard two inch, solid steel Reese ball mount shank. The inside dimensions of the receiver tube are nearly .006" too small to allow the 2" solid shank to fit in.At the cost of over $100 this is an entirely unacceptable deviation in what is a reletively simply manufactured product. From experiance I would expect such low quality manufacturing and poor quality control in an imported product at a price point that is 25% of this one.As it is, I ordered this because a comparible one wasn't available locally, and I don't have time to return it, try to locate another of better quality, and wait another week or so for delivery.I am NOT going to hammer my ball shank into it knowing what a nightmare it will be too remove it, rather I'm going to waste a hour+ of my time milling .006 off of my shank, acid etching the exposed raw steel, and painting it just because of idiot material buyer for Roadmaster didn't request samples of the tubing and allowing an engineer to SIMPLY MEASURE IT before buying a container of it.I would NOT reccomend this product unless you have the means and are willing to spend the time repairing it straight from the box so that it can easily be used.UPDATE: after a half hour using the grinder to remove metal from my ball shank I keep getting into binds further and further into the shank tube.Decided NOT to remove anymore steel from my shank.Downgraded this product to one star.STAY AWAY FROM THIS ITEM.!!BE ADVISED!!

Very sturdy but couldn't use
There's no arguing that this is very sturdy and heavy. I wanted to raise my hitch cargo carrier a few inches to get it away from my suv's exhaust. I attached this to my hitch receiver and then attemped to install my hitch mount carrier to the other end. My carrier would not go in. After close inspection, the corners of the receiver were a little too rounded and my carrier didn't fit by about 1/32 of an inch. Unfortunately, I had to return it. The issue may be with my hitch cargo carrier but it fits into my suv's hitch receiver just fine. Too bad, I really liked it. I ordered a different one from Curt, and it worked just fine.

Hitch pin hole not centered!
I tried five different hitch pins and none would go all the way through. If flipped as “rise” in stead of “drop” it fit. Believe me I tried everything short of a hammer to get the pin all the way through. Check the pictures. Sadly, I discovered this during my vacation was after the return period. I’m not thrilled about drilling this solid steel out to make it work for 2019 Escalade.

ROCK SOLID BUT MAY NOT WORK IN YOUR SITUATION
First, this thing is rock solid and high quality - great way to raise the hitch connection on your car/truck (raises it 6 inches - many only raise 4 inches). However, in my case when the unit is attached it extends about 7 inches from the hitch bar. This is a problem in my situation because my tow bar is already low (RAV4) so having this extend out another 7 inches greatly increases the chances of bottoming out when going over a curb. I opted for the Curt model which only extends about 3.5 inches. The only downside is that it only raises 4 inches. Keep in mind that some of these units are NOT rated for actual towing - just for bike racks, cargo racks, etc. - I believe the Roadmaster is suitable for towing and for racks. So if the 7 inch extension isn't a problem and you need 6 inches of rise and need one for towing and accessories, the Roadmaster seems like a great option.

Question for all of us is how valuable are the items that you are carrying to you?
I was hesitant in purchasing this at first after reading some of the reviews. After I did purchase it and received it the fit and finish is outstanding the fit is perfect all these reviews on it not fitting must be just a few out of many come out that way this one here was an A+ on fit and finish on the unit it was everything what I was hoping for and more.I think one thing for all of us to think about is how valuable are the things to you that you are carrying ?This thing is very heavy and has a full steel shank not hallow like most of them this is very heavy duty, they are not messing around plus the hitch receiver gave me my 6 inch lift that I needed for my Moto Jack rack for my vintage motocross bike something that is very valuable and not replaceable to me, you want the most reliable and sturdy item you can get to support this bike and also to think about the things that you carry if it ever did break the liability of other automobiles being damaged and causing an accident makes this a worthwhile investment in my eyes and I highly recommended.

NOT class IV. Wish it weren't so long.
3 YEAR UPDATE: still working just fine to flat tow my Jeep. Anti-rattle u-bolts clean up the slop in fit. But now that I have a cargo trailer I realize this 10000-lb capacity adapter can only handle 400 lb tongue weight... and trailers are supposed to have 10% of gross weight on the hitch to avoid fishtailing. That means the supposed 10k rating is really only 4k. If your trailer is properly loaded and over 4000 pounds, THIS MAY FAIL. Knocking off another star for deceptive trailer weight rating.Damn, it's heavy! Not sure why the male bar needs to be solid steel, but it is. I knocked off one star because it's an extension and I really just wanted a height adjustment. They could have at least drilled another hole to let me slide it further into my vehicle's receiver. Not many choices for this kind of adapter.

Very Heavy Duty 6" offset
This offset hitch is typical Roadmaster quality and durability. I have a Roadmaster tow bar which worked seamlessly with the 6" offset. Very heavy duty. Capacity is 10K lbs as most Class-4 hitches. Very well aligned between top and bottom. Welded completely around and has painted finish. Good product from Roadmaster, happy to see that Amazon had in stock.
