Seems to be decent soldering station.
Bought this in order to have temperature control and good soldering iron. So far seems to work and controlling temperature very well. Though I didn't check it's actual temperature, but it supposed to have compensation adjustment. You might get some smell from station itself after prolonged work, but nothing disturbing. The iron itself is easy to hold and operate, iron holder is quite convenient and well positioned. It's my first soldering station (and the iron as well) so not to compare much with.Update:Measured temperature of tip - it runs 40C less than it shows (probably need enter correction on that)

A nice soldering Iron
My cheapy old soldering iron died on me, so I wanted to replace it with something nicer and this looked like it would fit the bill. I paid just over £53, so was expecting more from it than my old one, and so far I have been very pleased.I'm just a hobbyist, so I can't review this as a professional user and I don't have the experience to compare it to any others in a similar price band. However, in my opinion the build quality is very good and the iron heats up very quickly so I'm happy to turn it off if I'm not going to be using it for a few minutes. The cable between the iron and the PSU is nice and flexible, and the stand does a good job. The tip cleaner tub does a great job too and it's nice that it was included. The auto cooldown / shut off works well and it has some other useful features such as the 3 presets.Overall, I am currently very pleased with my purchase. I have knocked one star off the detailed ratings because I'm not sure on how to get spare parts / tips when I need them and have no idea if the temperature control is accurate or how well it will last over time. The manual is ok, but suffers slightly in the translation process.

Overall, pretty pleased with this.
Easy set up. The control unit itself seemed very well built and good quality. The programmable temperature set points were useful. Sleep mode with motion wakeup is a nice feature. Display is bright and the temp selection control dial is perfect. My only issue is the iron itself, which feels a little flimsy. The cable is nice -- very flexible and so will not annoy, but where the cable meets the body of the iron just feels very insecure. I worry that if I twist the iron on its axis, it will stress the connections inside as the cable is not secured to the iron body. That said, I've used it now for 4 sessions of around 4 hours work with no problems.Iron seems to heat very rapidly looking at the display, but there is an obvious difference between the thermocouple temp and that of the soldering tip. Takes 20 seconds or so to catch up.Overall, pretty pleased with this!

Saved me £££
Such a convenient item to have in the house. We don't need to get a master to fix wires etc, we just watched YouTube to learn and used this iron to glue subwoofer to speakers and it heated up very quickly, has controlled temperature and didn't have any smell. I used it 4 times now and every time it performed good. I'd recommend watching some tutorials first if you're a beginner

AVOID AVOID!
AVOID THIS AT ALL COST!This soldering Iron is not fit for purpose, even on its max setting it will not heat solder. It is nothing more than an expensive Chinese paper weight. Returned a month again, but STILL not credited for this worthless item (as of 27th June 2020). DO NOT BUY THIS, OR ANY SOLDERING IRONS MADE BY YiHua. Cheap, worthless,s lucky dip, faecal matter, that amazon allow to be sold. AVOID!

Don't trust the temperature guage, so far out it can't be calibrated
Works fine, but calibration is way off. It was so bad in fact that I bought a thermocouple to check, and found it to be reading almost 80degrees too low, so it can't be calibrated using the built in calibration which allows only +/- 50 degrees adjustment. May buy a new iron for it to see if that improves things...At least I now know why I was having issues, and can compensate.

Works and is a good price. Nice fine iron to handle.
Assembled almost instantlyManual is a poor chinese translationHaven’t set the programmable buttons for each temp but it seems to be working straight out.
