These are almost a must have if you are trying to replace strain relief bushings for lamps and electronics. I suggest one improvement—the area that clamps down on the plastic bushing is slick metal and slips off easily. It’s hard to grip the bushing piece without slipping. It needs to have some type of ribbed edge or lightly scuffed metal surface to provide better grip and control.

After spending an inordinate amount of time using pliers wrestling stress relief bushings onto the back of electronics I make this thing made a a job I hated a breeze. The right tool for the job. My only knock on it is that it could feel a little more durable for the price. For my limited use it is OK, if I had to use it all day I would spend more for a higher quality set.

I just got the tool in today and haven't used it yet, but it seems similar to the one I had years ago and seems of similar construction. For the infrequent use it will get, I'm sure it will work fine for many years.

Worth the price. Enables the bushing to be reused without damaging it.

Does not have enough leverage to be useful. Handles are too short and too far apart when a bushing is inserted. It's nearly impossible to compress the bushing.
