Thames Kosmos Ooze Labs: Soap Bath Bomb OPEN BOX

I bought this for my granddaughter’s seventh birthday. This isn’t your usual “craft” kit! It’s a science lesson that’s fun! We homeschool and this kit blends well with our curriculum. I actually bought 3 other kits from this company at different levels for my granddaughter and her 2 brothers for Christmas.

It has a lot to do, not only making soap and bath bombs but also just science experiments. I think ages 6 and up is appropriate. The only thing I would change is the colors be a little more gender neutral but it’s still fun!

This craft lab was a birthday gift for am 8 year old girl. She loved it!

My daughter likes doing things like this and the bath bomb was very small and it just wasn't as fun as we thought. She got pretty bored, pretty quick unfortunately. She loves bath bombs so it was definitely disappointing.

My 8 year old daughter has become interested in making soaps and bath bombs. I picked this kit out for her because we have the other Thames & Kosmos Ooze lab stations and this kit connects to the other bases. The lab station assembly is easy to do. It also includes stickers to decorate the lab base. It does have a nice, sturdy lab station and great quality equipment.There are 4 soap making "experiments". Making melt and pour soap is a craft activity, not a science experiment. My daughter was able to make 13 small bars of soap. And she was able to make 6 small bath bombs. There is no included fragrance. You get a packet of powdered red dye, which is an accident waiting to happen, so we did not use it. Instead, we used food coloring and fragrance oils that I had on handOverall, I don't think the kit is worth the price. I think that the included soap block should have been bigger and more bath bomb mix ingredients should have been included. Including liquid coloring dyes and some fragrance oil would have made this a much nicer kit.

Got this for my daughter's. It's more complicated then description but good product. Definitely need parental help.

My six year old loved this. It turned her gift into an experience that her sisters could participate and spend time with her doing.

I bought this for my daughter and was eager to use it with her. After reading through the experiment booklet, there were only 2 or 3 things we could do with it because nearly every experiment needed extra materials that we didn't have. This ended up being a waste of nearly $30. The only plus side is that my daughter had fun using it as a science station by dumping water back and for in the beaker and tubes.
