ESV Topaz Reference Edition, Black Calfskin Leather, ES675:XR Leather Bound – November 14, 2019

I owned a KJV Cambridge Bible years ago and always look back on it with admiration of the quality of the binding, the clarity of the print, the softness of the leather cover, the way it opens flat without a need to 'break it in' and the quality of the paper. The concordance was so thorough and the maps so bold and beautiful. Ordered this in ESV and am thrilled once again with the quality. Having the chapters and verses in red and each verse beginning on a new line is a great feature. You will not be disappointed!

I am just starting in on this new Bible that should last me the rest of my life (after using mybprevious Bible for 35 years). The materials are exquisite, but I primarily bought the Topaz because of its extremely friendly layout. The print is just right for my aging eyes, and the verse by verse feature makes it super easy to not only keep track as I read or teach, but also to squeeze notes into the little blank gaps and the margins. I am also super pleased with the footnotes, cross-references, and concordance because I wanted those features without the commentary or study helps.

Beautiful bible. I won’t be writing in this one. Thank you Amazon. There’s history as to what happened to the last one. I just consider this a gift from God.

I am very happy with this Bible. The font and paper are great! It is in between the Cambridge pitt minion and the Cambridge wide margin as far as size (see pics). I had the chance to handle a couple of these before purchasing, and the calf skin is much stiffer than a goat skin So if you like the floppy Bible go with the goat skin, but if you need something more stiff to hold notes in, the calfskin is wonderful.

Excellent Bible. The print is easy on the eyes. A little stiff, but should get better with regular use. I highly recommend if you are looking for a quality Bible. I especially like the verse by verse layout.

This refers to the Cambridge Topaz ESV in cherry red. This is a beautiful Bible. Very high quality. Makes study and reading visually pleasing in addition to the usual inspiration that comes from reading the word.

The binding and physical materials appear to be top-notch. The paper is arguably superior. And the fonts used complement the layout very well.What I don't understand is the verse number alignment. Often times the numbers are lower than the lines they accompany. At other times the numbers they are almost touching the beginning of the line they accompany. So there is lots of play on both the X and Y axis. I've never seen this in a Bible before. Not even a cheap one, let alone from a Cambridge release.I can tune this out easily enough. At least it's not like Crossway's verse-by-verse where the text just goes into the gutter.
