The tool that everyone should own
The Leatherman K2X is the best carry knife I’ve ever owned. The additional tools on the backside is what makes it so special for me. I used to always have dull knives from cutting boxes but now I can use the back tools & keep the knife sharp in the event I need it. I appreciate it so much that I bought one for all of the groomsmen in my wedding! So I am currently 5 deep on these. I highly recommend this knife - it’s the perfect balance between a standard pocket knife and a multi-tool.

The only knife you will ever need. EVER. A work of functional art.
I'm a knife collector: Benchmade, Victorinox, SOG, Kershaw, I've had them all. There's simply no other knife that provides you with all of the tools this knife has - especially the very sturdy Philips head screwdriver - that you can open with ONE hand. AND, all of the tools, and the blade, lock in place. The knife is called the "FREE" because you can access the entirety of the knife with one hand free. I don't think some people realize how valuable this is when you may be holding something and can't put it down, but need a knife (or tools) at your disposal. This knife is a work of functional art. If you're a cowboy or astronaut, you need this knife and won't be able to put it down. Buy it today and maintain high expectations.

Good solid useful tool
Haven't used much yet, but obviously well made. Small tools are pretty tight at first, but loosen up if you work them back and forth and add a little gun oil. A bit bulky as an EDC knife (I carry a Buck Mini Spitfire for that), but useful when you know you have multiple tasks to do at home, on the job, or at a campsite. Mine has the half-serrated blade. I prefer this over traditional multitools because I find the knife blades to be inadequate on those. Would recommend. PS. I switched the belt clip to the other side; more comfortable when using for a right-handed person.

Great for me, but depends what you are looking for.
I carried a fixed blade knife in my waist band for the last several years (ESEE 4, Condor Kephart) but wanted to try my luck with a folder again. After several check-outs and returns, I pulled the trigger on the Free K2X. Although it IS thick, I like it a lot and definitely recommend.I was hoping I would like this knife _even though_ it was thick, but I think I actually like it BECAUSE it is thick. It feels like a very solid, hefty knife in the hand, which is good for a knife this length. I didn't want a knife that felt as light and thin as a hair comb or something, and this thing is a good fit. I keep it in my back pocket next to my wallet, so the thickness might be more of an issue for a front/side pocket wearer. Now, if it was just made super fat with no tools in the handle, it might feel kind of stupid. BUT THERE'S TOOLS! I like having a few extra implements at hand (and ONE hand at that). If you are just looking for a simple box cutter/letter opener, this may not be for you.I like that the blade shape, the overall styling, made in the US and 25 year warranty, but also this thing just feels and operates like a finely machined tool. I don't know what "magnetic locking" means, but this knife is very smooth in all its movements and very secure when locked (both open and closed). There is no play on the blade or tools when opened. The K2X looks and feels like a very well-made, high-quality device that is both handy and good to look at. Definitely recommend.

Great knife.
Knife is great quality just like my super tool. It is wider than my normal pocket knife though, but I guess with the extra tools on it it is expected.

Highly recommend
This is an incredibly versatile knife, great for everyday carry. I have a multitude of knives, however, in the last month of owning the K2, it is the only one I have used. Over all I am incredibly happy with it.The handle is slim (considering the tools). It fits well in my hands as well as in the hands of my wife. The pocket clip is placed well as to ensure it sits low in pockets, yet, I can't imagine it causing an issue (such as blisters) during normal use.The blade came incredibly sharp and so far is holding its edge nicely to spite its almost daily use. The one hand operation is intuitive, easy to use, and allows for a great user experience. The fit and finish is incredible. The locking mechanism is solid, with litterally no perceivable play. The when done with any of the tools or the blade it is also easy to put away with one hand.Ive put a considerable amount of force on both the blade and the Philips head screwdriver, and both held up to it without a single complaint or issue. My only complaints are as follows:1) the very tip of the blade came with a slight roll in it which could be felt as my finger nail caught on it. (Easily fixed with a sharpener, not a big deal)2) I've dropped the knife 3 times from chest to pocket level, and 2 times the blade partially opened upon impact. This is an important thing to be aware of.Over all, this is a quality blade and definitely one that everyone should consider owning.
