Miconazole Nitrate 2% Antifungal Cream - 1 Oz Tube

As a microbiologist, I feel that I am qualified to objectively rate this product.Epidemiology of the "creeping crud": I don't know where I contracted this disease, although I'm guessing it was on one of my travel expeditions, visiting a third world country. No "slam" against the country, but the toilet was located in a cold, dank "facility" underneath a small village. Get this: no light in the dirty stall, waste water on the floor, no way of locking the door, no toilet paper, no way to wash your hands and I had to go BAD! My symptoms appeared shortly thereafter. Lesson learned: carry toilet paper, a flash light and a bottle of hand sanitizer.Back home, I promised myself to go to a skin specialist, although I never got around to that! I tried various antiseptics and Betadine (an iodine based skin sterilant used for surgery prep.), but still no luck. Hey, I'm a microbiologist and I spent most of my life studying microbes and dealing with public health issues (I worked for the FDA). The itching and accompanying "bumps" were uncomfortable!Then I used 1 1/2 tubes of the above product and the skin eruptions/itching went away. Before anyone accuses me of exaggerating or receiving compensation from the manufacturer, they are misinformed! The reason I spent time writing this review is because a product, bought from Amazon, actually worked better than advertised. 'Enuf said.bugmannn

Okay, it's NOT a topic we like to talk about... But now and then, if you find yourself, SCRATCHING down below, and; even though you SHOWER and WASH REGULARLY, the ITCH just will NOT GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then you have "Jock Itch", which (alas) means, that some how you picked up a FUNGUS. That happened to me. I spent nearly 2-months ITCHING and could NOT make it go away. Tried the more well known brand, and; it started to work, but; just as it RAN OUT, I needed to buy MORE. So, I bought this instead. And glad that I did. You get 3-times as MUCH for the SAME PRICE and also - it is twice the STRENGTH. 2% vs 1% medicine and the tube itself is 3-times as much. And of course, it WORKED! Thank GOD!

I have been suffering with what was diagnosed as Tinea Versicolor since I was 8. I had tried countless creams and even a pill from a dermatologist and nothing would fully get rid of the white flaking that would occur every time I went out in the sun. This, in combination with starting to use a Tea Tree oil wash every few days, cleared in up in less than a week. After a month of using it daily, I dropped down to twice a week to see if it really worked, then to once a week and now that I have stopped and been clear from 2 weeks with no signs, I can finally say that I am clear and this stuff really does work.

We found this be be more effective than ketoconazole or clotrimazole for our son's ringworm / tinea cruris.

I don’t have to say much. You can tell by the pics how efective this is. The first 2 pics are before using the product and the last picture is 2 weeks after. Using it only once a day (night time). I have to say that I also use tea tree oil foot and body wash before applying Miconazole, also use a callus remover tool to remove all the dead skin.Super happy with product.

I adopted a dog from my local animal shelter that had severe yeast infection. After a few hundred dollars & recommendation from my vet I purchase the Miconazole. For apx 7days I mixed the miconazole and hydrocortisone 1%@50/50 % ratio and applied it into his ears with just a small syringe(no needle attached). In a few days I began to notice the brown nasty discharge was disappearing. After a couple of weeks the yeast infection had completely disappeared as well as the horrible odor that comes with yeast infection. My vet recommended that I not used this mixture on a continuous basis due to a possible build up resistance to its effect. I now apply the same mixture roughly once a month to keep a possible reoccurrence of the yeast infection . So far so good!!
