Strongly recommended, but hurry: while stocks last!
This is an exceptional helmet. Discontinued now, so difficult to find the size and colour you want, but worth the search. The colours are fantastically eye-catching and vivid. It has the polystyrene inner that most helmets have plus something most don't: an outer hard shell of impact resistent 3mm plastic; In comparison to other BMX-style helmets this is altogether a tougher, more rugged design. Don't be fooled by those £19.99 cheapies - this is very plainly in another league.Positives? You can now find a £90 helmet for around £40 if you look around. Exceptionally comfortable and you feel the extra protection, giving the rider greater confidence. Greater coverage than a standard cycle helmet, back and sides particularly. Spare pads in the box. Far easier to mount a GoPro or similar on it's smooth matt surface. Doesn't interfere with spectacles/sunglasses. 9 colours available. My son loves his and uses it for skate-boarding, scootering, skiing and mountain biking - 2 years on and it has had a terrific battering, probably nearing the end of it's life, but he has worn it almost every day, and by the look of it, I'd say it has saved him from serious injury on several occasions. Really confidence-inspiring.Downsides? Quite heavy at 500g, but you are paying for armour for your head, right? Not as ventilated as more conventional cycling helmets, but it offers much, much more protection and as a rider who runs VERY hot I don't find it a problem (I use it for mountainbiking, longish 3-4 hour rides in summer, for example). No visor. Not to be mistaken for the POC Crane helmet, an altogether lighter, cheaper, inferior item.

Its a bike helmet
Expensive, there are cheaper available, but there are much dearer on the market too. Nice finish, unavoidably branded, comes with extra stickers if you really like the name, spare foam padding for replacing the stuff that will become worn with constant use, and a nice fabric drawstring bag for hanging it up when you don't need it. I bought it because I liked the style and wasn't bothered by the lettering. I may look like a WWII paratrooper wearing it but it feels comfortable and it's definately a bike helmet. Or possibly a skateboarder helmet. I'm not so sure now.

Its a well made helmet
It's nice but it's a bit big for a BMX lid, bit of a melon head/light bulb look going on, I sold on to a friend and now I laugh at him from a distance.

0nly had it a couple of months and the outer shell is coming away from the inner helmet. Not what you expect at this price.

Cool Helmet
Bought this helmet for our four year old son, which just fits him. This is a quality product, which comes with it's own draw string bag. It is expensive, but as the foam inserts are changeable/adjustable, it will last him at least two years, so in the long run, will work out not too much more expensive than a couple of other helmets. You pay for what you get and the protection with this helmet is vastly superior than the hard foam ones sold in Halfords etc. and we have no trouble getting him to wear it as he thinks it's "really cool"I highly recommend this product.
