Inswing Threshold 5 5/8 inch with Composite Cap and Composite Base - Mill Finish (72 inch Uncut)

This was purchased as a replacement for a threshold that my contractors purchased at a big box store which was rotting out after approximately three years. While there is some exposure directly to the elements as an exterior door for our garage, the less expensive version incorporates a lot of soft wood in it's construction. This version is all composite and metal construction, hopefully eliminating that possibility. Six months in and there have been no issues.

The company offered help if needed. All directions were provided online, so I called to be sure I understood the directions. I called and I received a person pick up the phone and the office manager answered all the basic questions. I asked if something may pop up and the office manager forwarded to the project manager who said it was basic and he offered a couple of things that may help since I would need to be trim to fit. All worked great! We had a few major rains since and all is well. (By the way, the delivery was a few days earlier than projected!)

I used this on an exterior door to a garage. I used liquid nails to adhere it to a brick base. Took the adhesive very well and should hold up much longer than the wood base threshold I replaced. Was very easy to cut with a hacksaw.

I needed a new threshold for the French doors that lead out of my walkout basement. It was impossible to find a threshold long enough at either of the big box hardware stores in my area. This was exactly what I was looking for though! It worked great and was easy to install. Highly recommend if you need to replace a failed door threshold!

The company that is selling these has great customer service. I called them before & after the purchase with some questions, & they were VERY helpful & friendly. I would be happy to buy from this small "family run" company again. The threshold itself is of high quality & is exactly as described. After researching the options, I chose this all composite threshsold to replace a standard (wood based) threshold that had rotted out from underneath. I expect this solid composite threshold to last forever :). The sizing was exact, & the person who installed it for me had no problems installing it.

This seems like it will last a long time. Pretty standard threshold, that replaced a wood M-D building products. This is a tad wider than that one which fits our door a bit better.The adjustment screws were baffling at first. They would not turn, and I was expecting to take them off to remove the cap for installation. They would not budge! Yo7 can just pull up on the cap to remove and there is a phillips half underneath that you can break free. Some instructions would have been nice since in my experience the cap is screwed into the threshold. Door seals well at lowest position.

Opened the well taped box and unpacked. Dug out the old threshold, mine was same look but cheaper model. Made a couple of door frame adj and this threshold slid right in! It has full support no empty aluminum part that can crack. PERFECT and looks like it will last a long time! No wood!!! All composite and aluminum.

This was the perfect replacement for my old door threshold (on which the wood base had completely rotted out). I love that this one is all composite (no wood components) so it won't be rotting again!I was able to cut it to the perfect length pretty easily with an old hand saw (though I will admit I broke a sweat during said sawing), and glued it in place with several VERY generous squiggles of construction glue. A pretty easy project overall!I guess the color is slightly lighter than pictured in the listing, as others have commented, but this wasn't a problem for me - and honestly that portion is going to be almost totally hidden by the doors themselves 99.9% of the time anyway.
