speedometer is in Km/h so basically 40 Km/h = 25 Miles/hour its fun took me and my friend. ( we are auto technicians)A day to put together fill gas, change oil ( clean oil filter I found a bunch of staples in mine) and ride.the box when shipping had a foot wide hole in the top with a small scratch. extra trunk's catch needs to be adjusted in order to lock properly (little u bar that gets held by locking mechanism). You cant beat the price and if you put it together just like the videos show you (lock-tight everything) it'll last. Idle screw was the only thing that needed adjustment at first. O and don't forget to take the film off of the gauge cluster. It takes a little more time and you have to figure out how to take apart the whole top but don't forget cause after one season that film will be yellowed and ugly. I got mine up to 67 top speed, but it never really needs to go that fast. Customer service was very helpful but so were the videos on Youtube. 5 stars cause the price cant be beat.

This is an excellent scooter to ride. Very smooth ride and great acceleration. Assembly was not to bad. Be sure to change oil (10W-40) asap due to having only shipping oil in engine. I purchased from Smarter Deals Now on a late Monday and received that Friday (Within 96 Hours). I was a bit leery about purchasing a scooter online. However I got excellent communication with seller and answered every question I had (I think I sent literally 10+ emails and a couple of phone calls). If I have to purchase another scooter it will be from these guys.

This scooter has caused me an untold amount of problems. First off when i bought it the sear container would not open no matter how hard you tried and when i called tao tao to ask how to open it they hungup on me. The only why to open it is to take out the long screw on the otherside and open it the opposite way. Also the front panel which houses the lights it near to impossible to put on and does not fit properly. the lights fall out of the holes on the inside, and if it gets wet the it just doesn't work at all. the worst part is that when I first got it there was a grinding/squeaking sound turned out the back tire had rubbed a hole into the bottom of the seat container so I cant put anything in there without the chance it will just get caught in the wheel. So in other words DO NOT BUT THIS!!!! Did i mention it also cuts off when you stop to turn.
