Overall, I like this, but not enough to keep it. I needed a laser pointer for work too - not only for my dogs' play time! It's really easy to shift between the different colors and shapes, which I love. It's so much easier to use than I expected. However, it's more of a flashlight than a laser pointer. A laser pointer stays small because it isn't really magnified. This is REALLY magnified, and from only about 8 feet away the star, smiley, etc is about 3 feet tall. I was hoping to use this for presentations but as I stand at least 15 feet from the screen, it won't work. I'll be returning this and buying a standard laser pointer instead. I'm really bummed! I did give it a couple stars because of the nice case, great design, and light weight.

This is a great strong laser that seems to be running for a long time on one charge so far. As others have mentioned, I would not plug in any unknown USB into my computer, I have a separate charger for this on a wall plug. I let it charge overnight 10 hours, and have been using for about 10-15 mins a day (laser function) with the cat. and the intensity of the laser has not yet diminished. I also have found my self using the "Blacklight" function around the house as if I was working with CSI looking for things that I don't/shouldn't want to find. It does highlight fake white substances, but not sure if this is a good or bad blacklight. and the flashlight is semi bright. It uses a switch method, not a press and hold button type. Each switch you go up, turns on a different light, and if you go backward all the way it turns it off. The lid/cap that hides the USB port does come off easily, but when its off. you can miss place it, thus you would loose the strap to the laser/flashlight. It did come in a nice metal case, not sure when I will ever use it again, so I have been using it to store other small items I own. There is a small wheel dial that when you turn it, cycles thru the different images/shapes for the laser pointer. when it the "dot" mode, there is some bounce or bleeding of light, (not a clean red dot) I assume it is from the dial that holds all the other shapes. It works, saves me from buying batteries, now i just hope it lasts atleast 2 years...

This is the best laser pen we bought. Third time is a charm. Has a nice variety and all the designs are bright and holds a charge for several days. I really like how you can recharge via usb instead of batteries. And the free mouse toy included was a hit. Our kitty loves them. Thank you for great products.

Thank you for the little bonus toy for my kitty! 😻I was using the laser pointer straight out of the box, the different shapes makes a huge difference in play!From a close proximity, the designs may look a little bit splintered or blurred (very slightly), but if you step back a couple of feet it clears up. The USB charging is super convenient!My only gripe is the weight of the laser pointer, but that's entirely a personal preference/pet peeve. I strongly prefer anything in my hand to have weight to it (pens, hand tools, my phone, etc), and this is featherlight. I may see if I can place a small fishing weight in it somewhere, or something.Thanks!

I got this light as a bday gift to my grandson. So he will receive it on the 12th of May, I did charge it when it arrived and was very pleased with how bright and defined the dot was on a solid surface. But at first I was not But then after charging it . I was happy. It is extremely light weight and will be fine for the grandson. As he liked to use my very powerful one with my dog. But I was always watching as to see that he was being so very careful as to not point it at the dogs or cat or at their eyes. This light is far safer for that play. So I am pleased he now will have his own and grandma won't worry as much.It also has a nice metal case to place it back in when finished. Update....grandson loves it. Ease of use A+

My granddogs, German shepherd and husky, go absolutely nuts over this laser light. They will drop whatever toy they have or whatever they may be doing to chase the laser light. The German shepherd would rather chase the laser than eat. Both are adult dogs. Seems quite durable but have only used it one time, Comes in a nice case. Would have liked some instructions on how to use but did figure it out quite promptly. Well worth the money.

I almost didn't get this after reading some of the reviews. Sure glad I did. It's a great little pointer, and being able to change the projection on the fly is super. It's funny how the cats react differently to the different images. It is as bright a pointer as my business one and does more things for half the cost. It's actually a good little flashlight too.Sometimes it seems the reviews get run together. My cat LOVES this thing! My boy is very high energy, but sometimes, I’m just too tired to dangle something for him for hours. This solved the problem! I love that I don’t have to continually press a button down, and kitty LOVES chasing The Dot. When he gets a little tired of the dot, I change the shape and he is instantly interested again. Chasing this toy has gotten him to the point of very heavy breathing (and napping), and our other less-playful cat is happy she isn’t being constantly pestered to play. Haven’t really used any feature besides the laser setting but that’s really why we got it!
