Nicely finished and precisely ground ends. The extreme sharpness of the point really helps penetrate rocky soil. The point also easily penetrates the shipping box so my first order had no bar because it slipped out. The second shipment box had four holes in it but the bar had not slipped out yet. Either Amazon or Truper should put a guard on the point. If this bar slipped out and hit your foot, it would do a lot of damage. To put something this sharp and heavy in a regular cardboard box is dangerous.

Nice finish on it, too. Just the right size to dislodge medium-size rocks from the garden or wherever on your property. We already have two full-size versions with different end shapes that all work great, but sometimes you don't need all that leverage and mass. That is when this tool is just the right piece.

This is exactly the size and weight I needed. Most digging bars were too heavy and long for me to use easily (female and 5'2"). I needed something to help me set metal fence poles in my garden, and this worked perfectly. I had looked at the big box stores, and all of those digging bars were for bigger, stronger people (men). I loved that I could select the appropriate length and weight for my tasks.

This bar works wonders on clay soil with lots of stones in it. I used to try and dislodge the packed stones and rocks with a pointed shovel and assorted other digging and hand tools with much sweat & perseverance - until I received this tool. Now after a few jabs with the pointed end of the bar the rocks are loosened and then pushed aside or lifted out with the other flat end - it's a breeze! The length and weight of the bar is easy to maneuver for this 5'4" tall 66 year old woman. For now, I use it mostly while digging out and conditioning the soil to establish new perennial and shrub planting beds, but I'm sure I will find other uses for this great tool later. The point has held up well after much use and the bright orange color is good for keeping track of this slender tool and not letting it get lost from sight in the grass or weeds. Highly recommend!
