Love her books!
As a huge, Sandra Brown's fan, I'm committed to trying to read all of her books. Every time I have downtime, or I had read a few books that didn't cut it for me, I revert back to something I know I'm going to enjoy.Low Pressure is full of suspense, romance, intrigue and great plot twists which is not unusual for Mrs. Brown's arsenal of amazing books. From the first chapter, I knew it was going to be a good one.Bellamy Lyston Price has written a novel about a murder. She has based her book, Low Pressure on a real-life event, her sister Susan's murder. When Bellany was twelve, during a Memorial day festivity, a tornado hit their party and soon after, her sister was found murdered.Susan's boyfriend at the time, Denton Carter was the prime suspect. Yet, Dent denied ever being around the park and he had a firm alibi. He was flying a plane with his soon to be boss, Gall Hathaway.Susan's family, her father, Howard (who is dying of cancer), her step-mother, Olivia and her step-brother, Steven are very unhappy about the book. Susan's murder affected all of them eighteen years ago and having the wound opened again is hurting them now. It doesn't help that Rocky Van Durbin, a sensationalist reporter won't let the matter go. Furthermore, there are many others who are unhappy with what Low Pressure has stirred, Dale Moody was the cop who investigated the murder, Rupe Collier was the DA at the time and Ray Strickland is obsessed with hurting Bellamy and Dent since his brother was the one who paid for Susan's murder when Ray is sure his brother was innocent.Low Pressure is another winner. I loved the audio as much as the Kindle. As always, the characters are well-developed and the storyline is an interesting one. I didn't love Denton as much as I've loved the other male characters. I did like Bellamy a lot.I can't wait to read another book by this great author.Cliffhanger: No4/5 Fangs

ELECTRIFYING
One of the finest storytellers in the business, Sandra Brown, builds tension from the very first page to the very end of Low Pressure. She delivers an exciting novel about a wealthy Texas family whose seventeen-year-old daughter is murdered at a Memorial Day company picnic in the midst of a tornado that killed nine other people. A young local boy last seen with her is eventually convicted of the crime, based only on circumstantial evidence, and sent to prison. Over the years there emerged credible rumors that the legal system might have convicted the wrong person. Some eighteen years after the murder, Bellamy, the younger daughter, now in her thirties, continued to have repressed memories of the tornado and the murder and constantly wondered if the real killer was still at large. In an attempt to come to terms with these stressful memories, she wrote a New York Times best-selling novel titled Low Pressure based on the murder under the pseudonym, T.J. David. Soon it was discovered that the author was not T.J. David but the younger sister of the slain girl, Bellamy Lyston Price. This discovery not only lent more intrigue to the rumors but doubled book sales. However, the disclosure also focused a spotlight on those who were involved from the district attorney and chief homicide detective to the boyfriend, (flyboy) Denton Carter, and all members of the Lyston family. Death threats and accusations of fraud and irresponsible—if not felonious—legal proceedings were publically leveled. Bellamy, and now “sometime” friend, Dent Carter, received the bulk of these threats.Low Pressure, with its intrigue, sex, brutality and surprises, will keep you turning pages well into the night. I could not guess the murderer until the end. Sandra Brown also knows how to wrap-up a story with a surprise ending—she’s done a masterful job in Low Pressure.I rate the novel a 5 out of 5. You won’t be disappointed.

As expected
I don't read romance but thanks to Sandra Brown and Linda Howard, romantic suspense is a category I have devoured since discovering Brown's "The Switch" in 2000. I was astounded by her ability to combine the two genre's so brilliantly, and of course, have read all of her romance/thriller entries (and a couple of the pure romance ones, I'll have to admit). Plot, suspense, character development--all the necessary thriller elements are always evident in all her books. Mix in a little sex, flirting, the occassional cat fight and male bravado, and you've got the necessary romance ingredients. Call me a sap but I do enjoy a little romance and Brown delivers, albeit predictably (as the romance genre calls for. If you've read any of her pure romance books--especially as Erin St. Claire-- you'll immediately notice the difference).Low Pressure isn't startlingly brilliant; you don't finish the last page and go "Hmmm" and think about it for a couple of days. No, as other reviewers have stated, there's something missing, though no one really puts a finger on what that is.I think perhaps predictablility is the nemesis of prolific writers like Brown. We have gotten used to her solid plot lines, great cliff hanger chapter endings, her respectable character development, and yes, even the anticipated sex, flirting and bravado scenes. And maybe that's what's missing; that element of suprise and discovery. We fans expect Brown to do what she does best... and she has done it again with "Low Pressure". We shouldnt' be disappointed; other authors fail to maintain this level as long as she has.My epiphany came when, after a slow start, I found I was reading every night and couldn't put the book down for the last hundred pages. I hadn't expected the killer to be who it was and that made the whole trip worthwhile. If you're a Brown fan, you'll enjoy this entry. If you're new to Sandra Brown, read "The Switch" or "Standoff" first. You'll get hooked, just like me. Then you'll be ready for at least 28 other great books to add to your "must read" list.

Fantastic Read
I loved this book it was totally gripping I could not put it down. We meet our heroine Bellamy at the start of this novel she has just written and published a novel penned as fiction but based on the death of her sister. We are then introduced to Dent our unlikely hero. They plunge into an investigation of an 18 year old crime. This book twists and turns leaving you alternatively puzzled and surprised and thoroughly enthralled I can't wait to read another of her novels.
