PNY CS900 500GB 2.5" SATA III Internal SSD

Got this before memory prices shot up, way faster than HDD, plug 'n play, easy format. Recommend.

If you want a good sized SSD for your PC, then this is a good choice. It's perfect for people who want a storage capacity that's moderately sized and aren't planning on doing a whole lot of work with it. It's also great as an external game file storage as well. If you got a PS4 like I do, you can format it to act as an external hard drive. Just make sure you get compatible cables.

This thing has breathed new life into my old PC. I have an HP Envy Phoenix PC that had a failing hard drive and the slowness was unbearable. Getting that hard drive swapped out for this new SSD caused its boot times to drastically increase from minutes to seconds. Download speeds have improved too, and I was able to use the same wires for the old hard drive for this new SSD.

Update - PNY responded and is replacing the drive. Turns out the drive I bought did not actually come from Amazon. It was provided by a third party reseller. I'll start looking for this and I will have second thought about purchasing products from third party resellers as I don't really have any recourse after the return policy of Amazon. It is unfortunate that I have to give this a one star. I bought this drive a year ago, and it died last week. It is supposed to have a 3 year warranty. Contacted PNY, they tell me that based on the serial number the drive is no longer in warranty. So it does not matter when you buy the drive, basically you cannot depend on any support from PNY and they will not stand behind their products. I will not buy a PNY drive again nor will I recommend them. I now know why they are so cheep. Never had this type of issue with WD or Samsung drives.

Dell vostro 15 に使用 元々HDDが付いているモデルでクラッシュしたのでこれに交換しました。 「Dell OS リカバリツール」が使えるのでSSDを交換してツールをUSBブートで起動してインストール完了です。 昔と違って楽ですね 勿論HDDからSSDへの換装なので速度爆上がりです。

Cloned with ease, to put in my 500gb Nvidia Shield. It helped to totally revive it to new condition. I have had a PNY in my computer for about 3 years as well and has proved to be reliable.
