Compostable Cup Tea Lights Industrial Composting Vegetable Wax Rapeseed Wax Tealights 6 Hours Burning Time Pack of 80 Candles Unscented Plastic Free

Tea lights arrived perfectly packaged with no wastage in packaging and all were in perfect condition. Also no plastic wrapping in sight. So it’s also environmentally in terms of packaging.I tested a tea light by lighting it and leaving it for exactly 2 hours. Odour free and appears to have much more than 2 hours burning time left - see photo of the one that was lit for 2 hours placed next to an unused one for comparison. As you can see, it’s highly likely that the one I tested would have lasted more than 4 hours if you compare how much wax was left after 2 hours of burning.Interestingly, an article I once came across explained that wax has 'memory'. Apparently, if you lit a candle and let it burn for only a few minutes so that it doesn't melt the wax evenly all the way across the surface; then the next time you light it, the wax will stop melting across the surface once it reaches the point where it had stopped previously. From then on, it will only ‘melt downwards' (tunnel) rather than melt across the whole surface. This means is that the candle won’t last long as it’s only burning the wax from the centre of the candle. So the individual tea lights should last over 4 hours if allowed to burn so that all the surface is melted before being extinguished.

My sister first got me into these - they are compostable or will break down in normal rubbish. Much larger than a typical tea light they burn longer. I didn't realise that many councils don't recycle classic tea light holders...recommend. Burn well and bright.

Brilliant as a non-toxic and recyclable tea light that lasts. What I really like about these tea lights is that they burn even... not just down the central core near the wick.. so that now, instead of throwing out tea lights still full of wax but no wick left, these ones use all the wax. Haven't timed them, but they seem to last an age and I use them on the daily. Now that I have found these... these will be the only ones I'll be using. :)

I like that these are biodegradable and non-toxic, but they do burn very quickly and are significantly more expensive than the original tea lights.There must be soy wax filled tealights in the aluminium tins which I assume would be cheaper and still ok environment-wise as the containers can be recycled?I would buy these again if I couldn’t find a cheaper environmentally-friendly option as we all need to do our bit, and it’s great that this option is available.

These really impressed me, they burn down level to the very last drop.We had some store brought metal ones we used at the same time over Christmas.And the metal ones stopped after an hour as soon as the flame reached the metal, these ones burnt right down to the last drop.They are commercially compostable, so you won't be able to compost them at home.Either have them collected by council in your food waste, or drop off at a composting site.

We love them, so natural, so eco friendly with a nice scent.

The white container adds value and utility to this plain old tea light and somebody has re-invented the candle.Being a bit of a fuddy-duddy I was sceptical at receiving this latest batch in 'compostable' white plastic-like containers ... however, to my joy, as the candle burns the container shows the light adding to the glow through as opposed to the light being blocked out by metal-based containers.The candles last ages, the light given out is soft and generous, there is no distracting scent so are perfect for calming and unobtrusive use. Better than perfect!

These tea lights really do burn all of the wax within leaving just a metal wick base you can pop out, and a recyclable cup. The shape of the cup keeps the wick centred. I've not timed how long they burn for but it is at 5-6 hours approximately.5/5 will be buying again when depleted.--Update: I've had one out of this batch so far "burn badly", but it was completely fine encased in a steel holder. I wouldn't have wanted that to happen elsewhere though, so these tea lights are definitely only suitable for a robust holder that wouldn't make it possible for a fire to spread. Should be fine on a mantle too though may be a mess to clean up. (Mine was mostly in tact and could just be lifted out and disposed of.)I'd still buy them again.

Abgesehen vom Nachhaltigkeitsaspekt dieser Teelichter brennen sie zuverlässig ab und können problemlos mehrfach entzündet werden. Letzteres ist meiner Erfahrung nach bei vielen Billigprodukten ein Problem.Es handelt sich daher um ein aus meiner Sicht sehr empfehlenswertes Produkt.

Je n'ai aucun problème pour rallumer les bougies plusieurs fois, elles n'ont pas d'odeur, je les utilise pour un encensoir à bougie. Elles sont beaucoup plus agréables que les bougies à la paraffine. Je n'ai pas chronométré leur durée donc je ne pourrai affirmer qu'elles durent 6h cependant j'en suis satisfaite et je les rachèterais.

No smell and smoke when blowing out… no chemicals and ca. 6 hours burning time!
