Nespresso Vertuo Plus 11387 Coffee Machine with Milk Frother by Magimix, Black

This coffee machine is amazing! I love it! I did a bit of research before buying it as I didn’t want a machine I had to stand with and hold a cup under or keep my finger on a button to work it - I wanted to press and go! This is a fully automatic machine that’s easy to use, you just put your capsule in then off it goes, to the point it reads the barcode of the capsule, selects the correct temperature depending on which coffee you choose and knows how much water to add eg espresso, latte etc When finished you press again and the capsule is automatically ejected. This is a clean machine - there’s no coffee spilling and missing the cup, no filters to clean and no coffee grounds making a mess! A complimentary pack of capsules comes with the machine. It has a range of flavours and coffee types to choose from which is great as you can try before you buy! The only one issue with this Nespresso is the capsules aren’t readily available in supermarkets they need to be ordered online or via Nespresso which can work out expensive, but I should add that the cup of coffee you get from this machine is worth every penny. It’s barista quality at home. I looked at a lot of different coffee machines before buying this, and am I glad I did buy this one! It’s an amazing machine.

I upgraded to this machine from an old Nespresso capsule machine. This big draw for me was the promise of bigger coffees which was a bug bear with the old system as you had to use a couple of capsules to get a large cup unless you only drank espresso. With this machine you can choose various sizes of drink which is great as it actually ends up being a bit cheaper than two capsules as well. The quality of the coffee here is really good as the machine reads the coffee type and size and does the rest, even down to temperature which is really impressive. You also get a proper crema every time and with a big range on offer it's really easy to get a good selection. Even the decaf blends I tried are very good. I bought this as a black Friday offer with 100 free capsules which was a bit of a bargain but would recommend this to any coffee lover.

I am really happy with this product. I used to own a bean to cup machine but found the maintenance a bit too much around work commitments, hence after buying one of these for my in laws I gave in on Boxing Day and bought one for us. The pods are a little expensive for what they are 55p-70p from Nespresso, however the variety makes coffee really exciting! I was lucky enough to get a load free during the Christmas promotion for this item, so that gave me the opportunity to try a blend multiple times. You get a selection box included in box of 11x1 cups. If you order pods make sure you get Vertuo pods, as these are different to the cheaper “Classic” pods which are not cross compatible. I do not bother with the Aeroccino, even though I would normally drink Latte when visiting a coffee shop. You get a really nice Crema on the top of most mugs of coffee, and for me a dash of milk from the bottle really does enough. This was in line with my expectations for low maintenance. The capsule ejection and collection is a nice feature, and the recycling process from Nespresso is really easy (although you need to remember to order a recycling collection or bag separately with paid for items from Nespresso.com). The two recommendations I would make for this item are: 1) Buy an external water filter if you live in a hard water area. Something like a Brita jug, and use that solely to fill the machine. This is because there is no built in water filter and you don’t want limescale to decrease the life of the machine. 2) Check the size of your mugs! Different capsules have different drink volumes. Some of our mugs are fine, others aren’t and there seemingly isn’t any difference in size to the eye.

I must admit to being staggered by this machine. I was truly expecting the coffee to taste plasticky and fake. But it tastes absolutely glorious. It comes out hot which is more than any of my bean to cup machines managed (and I've tried a good few expensive ones in my frustration). The flavour is first class as is the body and crema. The Aeroccino that came in the bundle makes perfect frothy milk for a macchiato but you do have to use about twice the amount of milk you actually need for the coffee, in order to reach the lower minimum milk mark in the frother. In short, this combo and milk frother really do make coffee and milk as good as anything I've had in a trendy cafe or from any of half dozen bean to cup machines I have owned. And I'll say it again - it comes out very hot but not too hot! Worth every penny, especially at the deal price I paid.

This is a very stylish & very easy to use coffee maker.It's also great value at the moment & worth every penny..I've opted for Nespresso's decafenated coffee,so I was a little concerned about the taste.However,I'm glad to report I can't really tell the difference.In fact it's quite delicious! The operation of the coffee maker is clever too with the electronic pop up & down of the lid.automatically disposing of the capsule into a separate container when you're done,so you don't have to keep reaching for it every time you make a brew. Plus there is a self cleaning facility when you press the on switch three times.And finally the water tank is see through & separate from the unit so it is visible at all times & very easy to fill. I would definitely recommend the Nespresso coffee maker.The only thing better,probalbly,would be freshly ground coffee beans with a very expensive professional unit & frankly I feel there's no need!

I ordered this machine because of the good availability and reasonable pricing of Nespresso pods. It was only when I had unpacked. Nd used the sample pods that I discovered the traditional Nespresso pods are not compatible with the Vertuo. There was no mention of this on the product description and I had already purchased the original pods. Furthermore, the Vertuo pods are much more expensive - had I known this, I would not have purchased the machine in the first place. Even apart from the cost, the Vertuo pods are not available in any of the supermarkets near me, which only stock the traditional ones. I shouldn’t have to rely on purchasing these expensive pods online. Overall, very unsatisfactory and has left me with a very poor opinion of Nespresso.

This is an exceptional machine and an absolute steal on the current offer. I ordered it somewhat tentatively as I’ve had my fingers metaphorically burnt by the promise of a Tassimo machine years ago. There is no comparison. This is outstanding. On the currently offer, I got 12 starter pods in the box, then a delivery 2 days later of a box of 50 plus code for £25 free credit on a subscription (plus a further £25 in month 6) once I’d registered my machine. Two days after that Id received my order placed with the £25 free credit and my free Aerocino 3 machine. (I had a cheap £30 milk frother from Amazon a few months ago that’s ok but it’s not a patch on the Aerocino). I can now have lattes that are far superior to anything you can get in Costa or Starbucks and I’ve spent a lot of money in both over the years. I was sceptical before ordering that this would even come close to scratching the itch I had for fresh barista coffee but as I couldn’t afford a £300 bean to cup machine, decided it was worth a shot. Absolutely brilliant. And this is so much faster than a bean to cup machine - perfect for sorting out the travel mugs on dark mornings!! Yes, you can only get the Vertuo pods from Nespresso. Yes, an espresso is 37p and a mug size around 51p. But it’s still a tremendous saving against the £3.85 or I so I’d pay for a large latte with an extra shot in Starbucks on the way to work. I’m still experimenting with the different blends but so far we love Diavolitto, Fortua and Costa Rica, although the latter is nicest black. You won’t regret this machine - best £69 I’ve spent in a LONG time. Get it whilst the spring offer is still on the all the freebies - it’s incredible!!
