Outstanding series, which I’ve only recently become aware of. Was never a great fan of the film, but this series is something else. Got the box set for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great quality Blu-ray series. Don't even have to be a major American Football fan to enjoy.

I WATCHED THE FIRST SERIES AND WAS HOOKED. DIFFICULT TO FIND ANYTHING BAD TO SAY. EVERY CHARACTER IS BELIEVABLE, THE PLOTS AND SUBPLOTS ARE BRILLIANTLY SCRIPTED. LIFE IN A SMALL TOWN THROUGH THE PRISM OF A FOOTBALL TEAM-- SUPERB.

I started watching this series on Sky Atlantic earlier this year and became completely hooked. While researching the series online I found that the program lasted 5 years and Sky was.massively behind the times. I bought the box set and have just finished watching all 5 seasons. In a word awesome! This is the best american tv series i have seen since The Sopranos and The Shield. A must watch program and well worth 70+ pounds you will pay to buy.

I enjoyed this series so so much. However there are many gaps in the story lines where characters or stories simply disappear and are never resolved or explained . This is such a terrible shame especially when a viewer has become so invested in the storyline. The actors and standard of acting for the most part is superb and I hope to see the actors again in other programmes or movies.

Who'd a thought it. A US series about American football in heartland America with a high percentage of US teenage characters consisting mostly of sports players and cheerleaders, where the team prays to god before matches (with no sense of irony), is one of my favourite TV programmes---me, a cynical, jaded English man.The writing is superb and the actors rise to it and the whole thing lives. Makes me feel ashamed of my limey prejudices in respect of 'heartland' America.Boy, when American TV shows are bad they're really bad but when they're good....hats off.

Honestly the best show I have ever ever watched, American football is secondary so don't be put off if your not into it.everything is gripping
