This makes weighing fish so much easier. I have a Berkeley Scale with a “j” hook and this slid right on the “j” hook. It’s also safer for the fish. I weighed a 7 pound largemouth bass and a 15 pound carp with it. It was big enough to secure both fish and had plenty of holding power.

This scale grip is great. I was hooking the bass on the outside edge of the gills to avoid the red bits and it worked, but it was still uncomfortable for the fish eventhough they wete unharmed. I bought this contrivance to make the fish feel right at home. Dont worry about the strength because i wrapped 25lbs of weights in a towel and it held them no danger. Im certain it could hold 60 pounds i just dont have the weights. Also the towel section that i clamped on was very thick and it locked perfectly regardless of the width, its designed to do so. Its much smaller than the picture looks which is great because i didnt want to have a large contrivance hanging off my scale. Its great, no joke, buy it for the fish.

Can handle a 5lb drum. Just have a string attached to it. Actually prefer this to my 9in rapala lip grips as this goes into the mouth easier if they don't open wide

Used this on my existing scale that only had a small hook. Removed the hook and put this on. Now when I weigh my fish the can't fall off!

This works great with my scale since the one that came with the scale is way too hard to squeeze and it looks like it would hurt the fish of larger sizes. This one has a sure grip and it’s easy to use.

Replaced the J hook on my scale with this mini grip. Works, does a good job.
