Wow! Yes, thank you!
A juggernaut of hilarity and heartfelt observation. I am a definite fan now. Her description of getting a book published was spot on.

Wow, Yes Please!
Wow wow wow! It took me a few chapters to really get into it but once I did, this just took off. It's hilarious and irreverent and SO SO RELATABLE. There were times when I would stop to read bits out loud to my fiance because the passage fit him perfectly. This was exactly what I needed at this moment. There's nothing like a prolonged fit of hysterical laughter, especially when in public and wearing a mask and no one can tell if I'm laughing, crying, or having a seizure. I also appreciate the celebration of occasionally doing as little as possible. There's a move to be crazy-productive during the pandemic/quarantine and I felt a huge weight removed from my shoulders reading Irby's words.I'll happily inflict this upon all my friends!

Funny moments but wouldn't recommend
Although there were some funny even hysterical moments, all in all I found it rather depressing. How does anyone make it through life with such a bleak attitude?

I wish I could be as funny as her
She’s hysterical. She’s real. She’s so much fun to read

Another prolonged chuckle
Samantha Irby writes an immersive, chuckle-inducing commentary on herself and the social world she inhabits. My smiles keep coming as I read her humorous take on managing her existence without sweating too hard. Great for a time of living low key. The book flows like a running commentary from a BFF who is perfectly weird in a way that makes so much sense. Her writing style has some similarity to that of David Sedaris in that she shares thoughts and experiences that are unique yet highly relatable, and at times her voice feels like my own internal dialogue. I love her perspective and her writing, and I have no doubt that I’ll delight in her next book as much as I have in this one and those that preceded it.

We all need a laugh right now!
She's funny, she's profane, she's wicked-smart! She's a little dirty but not overly so! We've all been in at least some of her situations , so I think most of us can relate! BTW I'm 78 years old!

So funny!
I can't help but laugh out loud when I read these stories. They're so on point with modern life and so funny. I love her writing and subscribe to her blog too. Going to get Quietly Hostile next!

Ridiculously Funny
This is the second book by Irby I've read. Much of the same, which is no criticism at all. She is the queen of scurrilous, self-effacing essays in which she is hilarious, rude and fearless about whatever she is discussing. Here it covers the adaptation of one of her earlier books into a television series and the misadventures of her life as a married woman in the main. Deeply funny, very silly, entirely escapist.

A 40-year old lady speaking like a rebel teenager.
She goes through her issues regarding weight, sickness, love, sex, parents with no significant filter and a candid way, which generates interest and catches the reader attention. The narrative is like listening to a pleasant and funny non-stop speaker and, as the reader has the benefit of shutting her down whenever desired, the book can be entertaining.I selected some phrases that were well elaborated:- " Convenience is the number one driver of everything I do"- " Tweet something politically spicy, then engage every robot who responds it"- " Clinging to childhood demons as a means of never actually having to move forward"- " There was a freedom in shouting these sordid stories into a faceless Internet void"- " I don't want to see how the sausage is made, I just want to eat the sausage, while wearing earmuffs and a blindfold"

Funny stuff
I realized that I may have some kind of anxiety affliction thanks to reading this book so that's nice. I've also read all of her books so I'm a big fan and I love her writing. The end

Funny and smart, my favourite combo
Wow, No Thank You was exactly what I needed. Samantha Irby brings the experience of having anxiety as well as IBD to life and makes it so much funnier! Hilarious to read even though living through it is less so. Her description of deciding how much to eat before going to the club so she doesn’t have stomach troubles there is 100% what my 20s were like.Highly recommend this book and her blog Bitches Gotta Eat if you need a quick read and a laugh.
