My son is only 5.1 lbs so all hats were too big. This fits very snug so I stretched it with my hands a bit and it fits him perfectly. If your baby is much bigger it will probably be too small.

First the one and only con. is that they do run big, definitely not a hat you’ll be able to bring your newborn home from the hospital in. (depressing I know) but the overall quality? Totally worth spending the money. These hats are super soft and thick. Honestly I’m surprised with how nice the quality for theses hats are (sometimes amazon is a hit or miss) and I like the soft/neutral colors. Also let’s be honest about the ears? They’re to die for. I did do a tug test on the ears (we don’t want them falling off you know?) totally well secured and won’t be falling off or down ever (unless your dog thinks it’s a chew toy, then maybe)Overall I’d say that these hats are totally worth the money for quality. If you went to an actual store they’d probably cost way more.

Wish I could return these but don’t have the packaging. These are 100% NOT for newborns as listed. These are huge!! They might fit our baby in a couple months. We needed them now though. The socks likely will not stay on but we will see.In the future I’ll get the socks with the stretchy material up top like the ones they put on the baby in the hospital.The material is soft. The design of the hat is cute.

Should've heeded advice from other reviewers who said these were too small with barely any stretch. I ordered them thinking they might fit my 6.6 lbs newborn daughter (whose head is quite small so other hats are too big) but I could barely fit them on the top of her head and they kept sliding off as they could not be put down low enough. Cute, thick material but sized unrealistically small.

These are the most adorable little hats, I washed them over ten times already and the hold up well, did not shrink, and they are cozy to keep their head warm but not overall thick. My son has been wearing them since he was a newborn and he’s three months now and still wears them fine. Will definitely buy a larger size as they are my favorite.

I ordered the preemie/newborn size for my small (8 lb) 3 week old and they are really snug/tight on his head. I would definitely recommend this size as a preemie or hospital hat for a newborn.

These hats are a perfect fit for a newborn head. I can say this with confidence because my baby has a perfect 50th percentile head! Indeed, they were the only hats I found that fit. Thick, soft, and cozy, these were perfect for winter, and the little ears are too cute.

These fit my 5lb baby perfectly in the preemie-3months size. They are super cute, really soft and warm and nice quality. I though they were so cute that I bought the next size for her as she gets bigger.
