The material book itself was in excellent condition. The profundity within is Pure Bliss and the Path to reconciliation with ones True Nature lies therein as well.Aum Namah Shivay!

If you've truly had a complete Kundalini rising (and you know if you've really had one), then Abhinavagupta seems to penetrate the heart and expound on what is already within.

Definitely recommend this book. However i recommend that you read in order of siva sutras, spanda-karika, vijnanabhairava, praktyabijnaardyam, then para trisika vivanana. This helps to establish a firm basis of knowledge, as para trisika is the most advanced.

Very clear and very thorough.

This text, alongside the Tantraloka of Abhinavagupta are referred to as central to Kashmir Shaivism. Jaideva Singh provides an easily accessible interpretation for English speaking readers which I thoroughly enjoyed reading and would recommend to anyone with an interest in Tantra and Yoga.
