Amazon Essentials Women's Utility Jacket

What a fabulous find! I had been looking for a utility-style jacket for some time that fit well and felt substantial without breaking the bank. This jacket does not disappoint! It feels heavier, yet not stiff, like some other jackets I had tried on in the past. Comfort is very important to me, especially when it comes to shoulder and arm room as I am not a fan of a jacket that feels binding and inflexible. The jacket is a perfect addition to my wardrobe and I'll be buying more colors. As for the value, the jacket is far less expensive than comparable items and worth every penny.

This Jacket is thicker than one may imagine - meaning.. it's warm! Wore it today for the first time - the first chilly day of the season. A great fall, cool-weather jacket. quality hardware (buttons and zipper) and the fit was fantastic. Love the pockets as well. I am petite, but very large chested and I read the sizing chart (and may have read reviews saying to SIZE DOWN).... So I had misgivings about ordering a MEDIUM (when a Large usually makes more sense for my body type), but it was still a PERFECT FIT! Outstanding jacket for the price. I ordered it in the green. Now I just ordered the NAVY BLUE. It's just that nice. 100 percent satisfied. I also added a shoulder pad (purchased from Amazon) to the jacket to enhance the look. Turned out great. For only 32 dollars I can't imagine where I would have gotten this type of quality for the same or less money. Great buy!

I’ve been dying for this jacket to be restocked and got the alert it was back - and lucky enough to snag it! Went to a parent/teacher conference and my son’s teacher asked me how I managed to get it because she’d gotten the alert too but it had already sold out. Yes Amazon, you have truly created a coveted piece in this olive utility jacket when ladies in a town of only 3,000 people are spotting it and instantly chatting about your clothing lines! I ordered a M and it is a bit big on me, I probably need a small, but it wasn’t in stock, but whatever! I got it! It will give me room to wear bulkier sweaters underneath. Pros: It is *the* olive utility jacket. It looks sharp and streamlined, but also a bit edgy. Has an adjustable waist for a fitted look. Cons There’s not a great way to adjust the strings at the waist. I wish this jacket had sliding pieces like the Daily Ritual utility jacket to hold the string in place, as opposed to making knots in the string to secure them in place. I initially made it too tight and needed to very gently use a seam ripper to coax the knot loose without destroying the string. Perhaps a craft/sewing store sells these “string locks” and I can add them myself, but if they came with the jacket it would get 5 stars from me. I had to take a star off for this - it’s such a simple design element that’s easily incorporated, I’m not sure why it was overlooked unless it infringed on a design patent or something. No open pockets. Not a deal breaker, but they’d be nice. I do like that I can snap the outer pockets shut and keep valuables safe - it’s a nice trade-off. Overall, I LOVE IT. I’ve worn it nearly every day since it arrived (ahead of schedule, too!). It goes with everything and I’ve no idea why I didn’t have one years ago. Please restock other colors in S! We want them all! Thank you!

So cute and I am blown away at the quality of this jacket! The material is substantial but light enough for Northern California. I’m 5’2”, 170 lbs. The medium size jacket fits perfectly on top, but I can’t quite zip it, which I don’t mind. If you’re my size and want to zip, I would get the large. I think if I had a bigger bust this might be too tight but I’m small on top and larger on the bottom. I wore it for the first time and realized the material is pretty stiff. I think it will soften with wear. Overall super happy at the quality of this jacket for the price.

I love this basic jacket. Lots of pockets that are very functional I like the color it’s casual and looks very cool! Perfect for spring and fall without being too heavy or bulky . I am 5’3” and the sleeves were too long, but being used to that I folded the sleeve up and it looks like a cuff without looking rolled up. Jacket is exactly what I was looking for and a terrific price for a jacket of this quality

The hardest part about ordering clothes online is sizing and a flattering fit. I was torn between ordering a large or a medium. I’ve noticed that Essentials usually lean toward being slightly larger so I went with a medium. I’m 5’9” and 143 lbs and the medium fit perfectly. The jacket has a stretch to it so it gives in all the right places. It wasn’t to long or too short; it was just right. The material is substantial enough that it is warm but not heavy like a coat. Great fit, great quality, great price!

The coat felt well made and was a nice medium-weight fabric, but it was too big and longer on me than it appears on the model. I think the next size down would fit better but would still be an awkward length since I have a short torso. The sleeves were also a little too long so I looked like a child playing dress-up. I like that you can cinch the waist using drawstrings adjustable from inside the coat and that the zipper worked smoothly. Overall a nice jacket but just didn't work for me.

This is exactly what I was searching for, and I bought versions from $189 to this, which based on its quality, is a steal. It's flattering. It's sturdy and holds its shape but it's not scratchy or rigid. I was able to adjust the waist easily and nip it in for one look, then take it out to later it over a fleece. It looked great over a dress and over my hiking clothes. A classic, well-made staple that I highly recommend.

Good quality heavy cotton. Well made. Amazing price. Style spot on. Fits well. I wasnt sure if it would be big enough as decided to go with advice of getting size smaller than usual....fits really well and glad didnt get usual size bigger. Really pleased and will look at more amazon essentials clothing now..

Die Jacke passt wie erwartet sehr gut. Schön lange Ärmel, für den Übergang in den Winter schön. Der Kragen sieht sehr gut aus und hält den Wind gut ab.

Sono alta più di 180 cm: solitamente le maniche dei capi che acquisto sono troppo corte. Ciò non si è verificato con questa giacca, che è perfettamente proporzionata e adatta alle persone meno esili, come la sottoscritta. Il tessuto è un buon cotone robusto, dall'aspetto un po' vissuto, senza fodera interna. La consiglio vivamente. Se ci fosse una versione più pesante (indicata per l'inverno) la comprerei immediatamente.

Pleasantly surprised with this jacket. Thought I’d give it a try and return it if it didn’t work out. But it’s way better than I expected. Fit is TTS. Love that you can adjust the waist inside the jacket to make it look more fitting and structured. Material is pretty soft...yet stiff enough that the collar stands up and doesn’t flop down. Im 5’2 and the jacket covers my butt. Sleeves are slightly too long but I like the way it looks rolled up anyways. I’m looking at ordering other colours...can’t go wrong with the price either.
