Mushroom House Dried Porcini Mushrooms, 2 ounces (Pack of 1) Bag

These dried porcini mushrooms, once added to my mushroom risotto, were perfect! Lovely earthy flavor that added just the right nuance to the dish.

Used these for borscht and they were excellent!

It is difficult to find good mushrooms at a reasonable price -- these are wonderful!

I just used a tiny sliver and it ruined my soup. God, what an awful flavor. It had a weird, not-pleasing smell, too so that should have been my first clue. The recipe said using a little of this mushroom was a game-changer in making mushroom soup and they were right. It totally ruins it!!! That's your game-changer. NFW. Just buy a can of Campbell's!!!

If you love mushrooms, then who wouldn't like these? Flavor is so good. A few pieces were a little woody, but maybe I could have soaked them longer. Only in a few so far. Could have used a few more in the bag. But, good over all..

I love and use dried porchinis, but I cannot recommend these. Overly dried to the point of looking almost burnt. They neither smelled right nor tasted as they should. I had never before used or ordered Chinese mushrooms but I won't do it again.

I didn't think these mushrooms would be hard to find til I actually started looking for them at the grocery store. Amazon to the rescue and now the mushrooms got added to my favorite comfort food recipe and life is good.
