Lundberg White Arborio Rice – Short-Grain, Creamy Texture for Risotto, 32 Oz

In the proper rice cooker (or pot) the rice has a nice "tooth" and a slightly nutty flavor. Blends well with lots of food entrees, and handles all sorts of extras like slivered almonds, sliced green onions, parsley, minced dried fruit, or a shot of squeezed lemon. With chicken stock it also makes a great risotto.

I use this rice for ALL rices dishes except when brown or jasmine are required.It is beautiful- cooks perfectly and is reliably delicious in every recipe from jambalaya to famous four-star restaurant recipes.

THIS TYPE IS COMMONLY USED IN MAKING RISOTTO. I WOULD PREFER A LARGE RICE ARBORIO . THIS IS MULTI FACETED YOU CAN USE AS RICE IN ANY WAY OR YOU CAN MAKE RISOTTO. KEEP STIRINGTODAY I MADE WHAT I CALL SICILIAN RICE AND BEANS. GARLIC AND ONION MINCED FRYED THEN TOSS IN A CAN OF DRAINED BUT NOT WASHED CANELLI BEANS FRY IT UP THE ADD THE RICE AND FRY IT UP. THEN TAKE CHICKEN STOCK OR VEGETABLE AND ADD ABOUT ONE CONTAINER . EVERY THING IS MEASURE BY EYE. I purchased this rice to make rice pudding as was nearest thing to short grain pudding rice. It only takes about half hour or so on the stove top to soften and consistency & taste is good, just add a little vanilla and nutmeg to the milk and rice for flavor.

Delightfully good quality rice for risotto or (in a pinch) paella.

Well I think this is a good product , but Todd hates when I make butternut squash risotto with it.
