UPDATE: baby monitor stopped working. It will not connect to the camera no matter what we do, the power button doesn't work anymore (and we do not turn it on and off very often). I would not waste your money on this unit only to have to shovel out money to replace it 7 months later.I love most things about this baby cam. It has awesome screen resolution in daytime or nighttime modes. It can play music if baby wakes up and needs to be soothed. It has a cry baby feature (my name for it) where you can set it to go completely quiet unless baby starts crying which is nice to ot have to sleep through all the little noises my baby makes in his sleep. You can speak through the monitor as well and the monitor is compact enough for a back pocket. The things I don't like as much, the power cord for the monitor plugs in the upper side (shown in pic) which when in standing position makes it want to tip over easily. The power cord for the camera is very short so I had to rig an extension cord up the wall. The camera if super light weight, which would normally be great, except it gets moved very easily and I had to keep readjusting so I finally 3M taped it where I wanted it. But other than those few things, a great camera for the price and so much better than my moms Vtech that she paid a lot more for.

I would give this 5 stars but because the camera can be hard to place at the right angle because there is no motorized zoom, thats why there are 4 stars. That and when I first received it the instructions were confusing because it seemed like you were supposed to read a different part of them first. Because of the price though I realize they can not put in a motorized zoom. It would be helpful if there was because there are times that when my toddler is in her room I can not see what she is getting into because of not being able to remotely tilt it in different directions. So I end up having to go into the room to check on her. I really like that it does not use wifi in order for it to function. The night vision is very clear which even my husband was impressed with. I had did my research and this one economically is best for us. I found it strange that you need to turn off the light on it in order to see the night vision, so it seems like the light is useless because it is not needed during the day, but it may have a purpose that I am unaware of. Overall it's the best one I could find that was budget friendly.

I bought this to replace my Summer Infant video monitor because the button on the other monitor got stuck and the video wouldn't turn on. Here's what I like about this one:1) The button doesn't feel like it could get stuck :)2) There is an alarm when the battery runs low (but the monitor keeps working) so you know you won't ever lose connection without knowing it.3) The video monitor is easy to position (and may have a wider angle that my other monitor)4) The sound quality is excellent5) The buttons are very clear and intuitive.6) There's a "talkback" option! My other monitor didn't have this.7) I like the little kickstand. I guess most monitors probably have this, but it's a good feature.8) The video is good enough, even in the dark, to be able to tell what my little girl is up to, and if her eyes are open they show up like they're glowing (creepy, but helpful).Cons1) The video is grainier than my other monitor. This doesn't matter to me at. all. But, it you want pretty insta-worthy monitor videos it might matter (only kidding).

So, number two will be arriving in a month or two and I was looking for a baby monitoring system to replace the one that I had used several years ago with his sibling. I wanted one with video capability and good quality that was not going to be beyond my budget. I also preferred one not open to the internet since “hacking” seems to be a possibility with those types currently. This Campark Baby Monitor with Camera is filling those requirements and a bit beyond. The quality of video and sound is very good as is the overall construction of both pieces. I have had some fun with his older sister having placed it in her room to test it out prior to his arrival. Playing some lullabies for her to get her to sleep on restless nights has proven humorous. Using the intercom capability and auto wake-up I have asked her nicely to wake up for school where her movement or lack of can be monitored visually which has also inspired some humorous responses from both ends. She had a coughing fit one evening where the monitor was activated as a warning since the volume reached a certain level. This will be reassuring for monitoring the new guy. I am very confident that it will be ideal for monitoring the addition and would recommend this product to anyone with a baby to monitor.

I had high hopes for this monitor. I understand you pay for what you get, so I was pleasantly surprised at the video quality of this monitor. I was sorely disappointed in the sound, or lack thereof. Luckily, we are traveling right now, and I'm sleeping in the same room as my LO because if she were in another room and I fell asleep with the volume set to max, her crying would not wake me up. When she naps, I have to hold the monitor in my hand the entire time so I can see when she wakes up. I can see her talking and/or crying, but can only hear her if I hold the output speaker up to my ear. Maybe mine was defective, but how can anyone call this a monitor? Again, video quality was very impressive, but I need to actually hear her, too. Bought a different brand (the same price) and am VERY happy with that one!
