Short 10 minute run time
This is a fun little show with a quick 10 minute run time per episode. Great for a little fun and relaxation without overdoing the kiddies' screen timeThe tiny fireman wannabe in my life LOVES this show, It's toddler friendly. The animation is simple with lots of bright colors.None of the themes are too 'big kid' for the little ones. But the show is also starting to hook my older grade schooler now too.I love watching this with my toddler as we have a great time making the fire engine sounds together and rooting for the firemen to do their job and help people. It's funny to watch because the voices don't seem to match the characters. Like a small child will sound sound like an old British man, and a grey haired character will have the voice of a child. It's mildly amusing for that reason. Also the people in this town need a lesson in fire safety. They set EVERYTHING on fire!

When he hears that fire alarm......
We accidentally happened upon this British children's series on YouTube and when my grandchildren showed a continued interest, I searched and found this series on Amazon Prime and ordered it. Fireman Sam is children's television series about a fireman called Sam who resides in a Welsh seaside town of Pontypandy. Each episode features a moral lesson and Sam, along with the firefighters and the residents, especially the little boy named Norman - a Dennis the Menace type character- do their best to present a comedic episode that shows how doing good is the right way to live your life. I believe this show would be good for children ages 2 through 8ish.

Not bad, not perfect
Even though I find it to be incredibly annoying (the situations are generally ridiculous and despite the fact that the Fire Department has at least three other firefighters, only Fireman Sam seems to be the one to call), my son thinks it's the best. I do like the animation and the "cause trouble - face consequences" storylines and the fact that there are no "bad guys" or mean situations, but it's not a perfect show. I let him watch it (part of his weekend options), but sometimes wish he didn't choose it. :p

Great but annoying
I give Fireman Sam 4 stars because my kids LOVE it. It teaches valuable fire safety lessons (my 4 year old checks our fire alarms and for fire dangers etc) without installing fear. The show Spurs imaginative play as well and cooperation among my kids. It loses one star for being obnoxious. The voices are cliche and the whole show is ripe with stereotypes. My kids also watch the UK version on YouTube and I much prefer that version.

Great show that teaches safety lessons
We really like Fireman Sam and it teaches good safety lessons. The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is because we prefer the British language version. The storyline with American English accents set in Pontypandy is simply not as believable. I don't know if producers think it won't be as popular here in the States without changing the accent?

3 year old son loves Fireman Sam
This is one of my son's favorite shows. He is about to turn three and his daddy is a volunteer firefighter. Fireman Sam helps my son understand how his daddy helps people, especially when daddy leaves during dinner and other fun family time. I love how short the episodes are. My son thinks he's getting a treat when he gets to watch more than one.

Disrespectful to our heroes
My daughters love this show and think Quiglington is hilarious. I don't want to be too uptight about a children's show, but I don't think having an aloof, clueless firefighter is the message we want to send to kids about the amazing people who risk their lives for us daily. The writers appear to have very little respect for the profession.

"Cool and calm"
Simple. Teaches some good lessons about fire safety and safety in general. There is something to take away from every episode. Plus, Fireman Sam has left a lasting impression on our son who pretends to be Fireman Sam everyday, fighting an "electrical fire at the Catfish Café"
