The Redline PL 26 is a new take on a classic BMX cruiser bike. Built to really be ridden, this bike features updated the geometry along with retro styling. A full chromo steel Redline frame and fork are lightweight, but strong. Double wall rims with aluminum hubs give you a wheelset that can be ridden all day. The Redline PL 26 comes with a flip-flop hub in case you want to put a smaller rear cog on the bike. Hop on the PL 26 and explore the city, cruise the neighborhood, or hit the track for a few laps.

Excellent product, sub standard packaging
With excitement I purchased Redline’s PL 26 BMX cruiser. I’m not new to the bike arena but to Redline. Upon opening the cartoon and removing the partially assembled bike I noticed some deep scratches. The packaging was a mixed bag. Some bubble wrap, some stiff carton paper then that real thin and brittle stuffing paper. They need to address the high probability of metal to metal contact and use the appropriate packaging. The goose neck had a deep gash, contact between the spokes and forks and quality and control on decal application was overlooked. Am I going to return it no. It’s made for shredding and scratches will happen. I want to be responsible for the scratches and cool story about. It’s not cool story when asked and your reply is, yeah that was from shipping. If you want a show off bike to cruise the hood, be prepared for some scratches and gouges when you buy.

Disappointed
I’m a bike mechanic and very discriminating bike nut. I’ve been working on and riding bikes for decades, and always have 20 or so in my home shop at any time. This is a nice bike but has some quality issues. Mine had a paint touch up and minor dent on the top tube, also the Speedster tires were “lumpy” when spun, (not perfectly round) no matter how many times I re-mounted them. The rims have poor joints, causing the brake pads to thump on every rotation while braking. I also had to center the bottom bracket spindle. While it likely would have worked fine as is, I had to have it perfect.Disappointed mostly over the paint touch up, I packed it up carefully and sent it back. It was lost (stolen, I believe) in shipping, but Amazon made good and credited me. I wasn’t sure I wanted another one. After several weeks of not being able to stop dreaming of this really cool bike, I decided to try again. This time I ordered it from a local bike shop, thinking it would be easier for me if there were any issues. It was the same price. The new one had the same tire and rim issues, but perfect frame/paint. I have changed out the tires and the shop is selling me welded/machined rims at their cost. I will build up the wheels with the new rims myself. The rear hub also has a minor issue that I’ll need to work out, only because I’m installing a Proline Elite freewheel on it.To be fair, my wife said most people would not have noticed the factory paint touch up and tire/brake issues. My guess is that my Amazon bike likely would have passed the grade with most buyers not as picky and attentive as me. So because it’s so retro cool and the issues were relatively minor, I’m still going to give it 4 stars.

nice ride.
Well if you check my order I actually ordered red. I was not too happy that it was gray until my daughter came in the room and said she liked it. An angry man has no vision. When I stepped back and looked at it from a distance she was right. My other bike is red and the gray looks good. So I would have gave 5 stars but when I checked my order it says red. The seat suggestion was a good one as the plastic one that it came with was rock hard. My waist size is 34 if this helps. The wheels were out of round and wobbly. I worked in a few bike shops back in high school and was able to correct the wheel issues. Rides smooth and has been a good bike so far.

HOLY SH@#!
Epic bike for and unbelievable price. Come on man!!! really? I love this bike. So happy with it stock. Supper basic assembly out of the box. Had to adjust the break a little. The only bad this is the seat totally sucks!...but you can get a more comfy seat for cheap. Probably going to upgrade a couple cosmetic things but all in all I am so happy with this bike. Ready to cruz the rest of summer : )

Like being a kid again
I bought this product because I used to love riding my BMX bike around as a teenager..now I am nearly 40 years old and bigger than I was 25 years ago...this feels like getting on an old school Redline BMX. It is scaled up perfectly for a 6' tall adult. If you like just cruising around it is perfect. I can still do all the little tricks you would want to riding around town. I had a mountain bike but I mostly ride with my kids on paved trails or city streets anymore around the neighborhood. This bike dropped a ton of weight from my other cruiser because of the frame material and no suspension and gears and all that garbage that wasn't necessary. I got this on a sale but after riding this for over a year...it is worth full retail price. A great bike for any oldschool 80s-90s riders

Sweet Retro Steez!
I bought this bike primarily for cruising the neighborhood with my wife and daughter. I did not want a beach cruiser and my garage is filled with mountain bikes, BMX and 'cross bikes so I needed something a little different. Of course I had to put my own spin on the bike after getting it. I dialed it in, since I am a bike wrench, and the assembly was almost spot on. Wheels were true and the tension was pretty consistent. Smooth cartridge bearings abound. I replaced the stock tires, brakes, saddle, grips, and pedals...now to secure a Haro number plate! I did not race Redline in the '80s...MCS and Patterson and now currently an Intense Sabot off and on, but this remake is near the top of my list for all my bikes in the garage!

Awesome Bike!
Great bike for the money. I felt bad because the local bike shop was selling it assembled for $550. But my budget was $300. When I saw it for $400-something I dug into my pockets because it was exactly what I was looking for. Steady as she goes.
