I purchased this set of 2 oven child locks for my rats cage! The top of the cage simply lifts up, & when I bought it the 2 locks on the top of the cage were missing, so I've had to keep a pet carrier stood on the top of the cage, just so that my rats couldn't push the top of the cage up themselves. I wanted to replace the 2 missing locks, & did spend a good while scouring the Internet for spare cage parts, I even thought I could perhaps contact the manufacturer, however, I couldn't find the parts I needed, nor how to contact the manufacturer. So, knowing what I wanted I decided to browse here on Amazon at various child locks. I came across these, which is a pack of 2, & they rotate to lock & unlock, - the same way that the original locks did on the top of the cage, & so these were perfect & just what I was looking for. I chose these as these come as a pack of 2, instead of having to buy them individually, & these are a reasonable & affordable price & good value for money.They arrived speedily,which was great, & were easy to install. They have a peel off pad on the bottom which reveals a strong adhesive layer to attach to the cooker, or in my case, the cage. They have good strong adhesion & are simple to operate, to lock & unlock, just by pressing in on both sides then turning to the lock/unlock position. I'm pleased to say that these are perfect for my rats cage, & they do the job nicely, as you can see in the pictures. In lock position they keep the top of the cage locked shut, but in unlock position the top of the cage is able to be lifted up. Am really happy with my purchase, & for a set of 2 you really couldn't go wrong. Would deffo recommend, & would purchase again in the future if needed.

After countless times of me acusing the kids of eating the left over pizza i realised my great dane had a appetite for pizza after i heard a noise in the kitchen convinced i caught one of the kids i was surprised to see him open the oven door with his paw and dragging the pizza boxes out , i had found the pizza theif, quick search on amazonfound me the perfect gadget and so far so good this simple but effective tool has prevented any further pizza or any other dinners theft much to his dismay, happy days for me not so happy days for him, recommended for kids and dogs alike

This is the second oven door lock I’ve bought, the first one was so hard to unlock I really struggled to open it myself never mind the baby! This is much better. I have a double under-counter oven and mainly use the larger bottom oven so this is the one I mainly need a lock for. The only place to attach the lock is to the door of the top oven and I was a bit worried it might come unstuck due to heat from the top oven but so far that hasn’t been an issue. I do have to open the bottom oven slightly now to open the top oven as the lock gets in the way but as I don’t use the top oven much I don’t really mind this. The most important thing is that it stops my baby from opening the oven but I can still open it easily myself.

I was really surprised that this worked! My son who is nearly 2 has been opening the grill section of our range cooker with considerable force and everything else we have tried has failed to stop him. He’s a very strong boy and I didn’t think anything like this would be strong enough to stop him but other reviews mentioned it being very strong so I thought I would give it a go. He was not happy to see it installed several weeks ago and has tried several times to pull it off, and has used considerable force to try to open the grill door but it has somehow stayed put! Brilliant!Only down side is that it is slightly bigger than I was expecting, and when installing it on our range cooker it was difficult to fit it in above the grill door along the row of all the control nobs without restricting their use. Does the job though so overall very pleased.

Bought this a while ago and hadn't got round to reviewing but it means I can comment on durability... honestly recommend this to anyone. It is secure, strong and easy to use. My child is a climber and this has been the most genius hack I have ever came across!

As a parent with a 2 year old it really is a great feeling knowing that my son can’t open the oven midway through cooking a chicken and either burning himself; or worse, eating the chicken!Lots of people will say “just watch the oven”.My response to that is “you clearly don’t have a child, you can watch an oven as much as you want but the devious rascals can sharp change course and divert towards the oven”.

Installed these a couple of days ago. My daughter couldn’t open the door with them on, although after watching me open the locks a few times she was trying it herself! So something so bear in mind if you have a curious little one who likes fiddly things.Unfortunately they are not husband proof. He bent the metal on my oven door instead of turning the lock, so now it doesn’t work and my oven is bent. I think this is probably our ovens design rather than fault of the product, but it’s something to check on your own oven before purchasing.

I love this! So much so, I’m going to buy another one. My 12month old hangs off the handle to our oven so having this has brought me peace of mind ... and it’s so reasonably priced. It’s really good quality, it’s strong but easy to slide into place. I did worry that it might not be sticky enough, especially as the oven heats up but there was no need to worry, we’ve had it in place for a week, being used several times a day and it’s still as strong as ever.
