The largest handle only takes a 1/4-inch square shank, maximum. It will not take a 3/8-inch square shank.

Is this product easy to use?

Pretty straight forward. They rust easy and there is limited adjustments. It's good for a one time use hobby. I'd spend more if it were going to be something you use a lot.
