Razer 5G Pixel level precision sensor + 69g weight = Dream e-sport Mouse
Before this I used Razer Deathadder Elite and man what a mouse but the weight was the only drawback for me and the right click gave upon me only in 8 months but, then They improvised with- new Opto-mechanical switches- ambidextrous design- 69 grams weight- Braided and most flexible cable any mouse ever had- Pixel precision with Razer 5G SensorDoes anyone think it ticks all the boxes for any competitive e-sport mouse and a dream mouse for an enthusiast or a professional gamer. I am an enthusiast and I have used so many mouses starting with generic Dell mouse, generic microsoft mouse to Razer mamba wireless, Logitech hyperion fury (g402), Steelseries rival310, Razer Death Adder and finally Razer viper. So you can see I got some experience down the road of choosing a good mouse. So far no one matched the speed of Razer vipers opto-mechanical switch and performance as it feels so controlled, no error in clicks as it has improved switch mechanics compared commonly used Omron switches in most high end gaming mouses. Over that Razer Viper have super light weight that is 69 grams which makes it in most agile category I mean the flick and tracking feels effortless in competitive fps games Like Quake Champions, CS:GO, Warface, PUBG, Rainbow Six: Seige, throw any FPS game Razer Viper shines. Button placements are also well designed to minimize errors for eg.: the dpi button is on the bottom unlike most mouse keeps it near left click or just behind scroll wheel which I felt most vulnerable place for accidental clicks. Its Ambidextrous design is well thought for giving the same experience to both left handed player and right handed alike due to the button placement of thumb buttons, and all the buttons give a satisfying click every time and button travel is perfect enough to avoid any error. To summarize I will give my opinions on pros and cons:Pros- Light Weight- Precise and accurate sensor- Revolutionary Opto-mechanical switches- Very flexible and light cable- Well thought Ambidextrous Design so both left handed and right handed can get the benefits of this Instrument.- Build Quality good enough to use it in ideal condition cant promise about the gamer's Rage effects on it, as I don't rage :PCons- Honestly till today since my purchace ie. 4 January 2020, I never had issues regarding any accidental clicks or pseudo clicks (you click once but it double clicks) which sometimes causes due to vibration after clicking in omron or any mechanical switches. But I will surely update if any problem persists at any point of time.I would love to thank who all have read so for and its my honor to give my opinion on this particular mouse which is by far my favorite. I would blindly recommend this mouse to anyone who is looking forward for a mouse for gaming purpose especially competitive first person shooter. I promise to keep you guys updated about if anything changes in my opinion when it happens.Till then Have fun gaming and please stay safe by not raging.Thank you :)

Pro Grade Mouse But Palmers Stay Away
The Viper is one of the best mice out right now if you can get used to the shape. There are a few problems though..Pros-* Super Light @69 grams with great Balance* You will not mis-click the side buttons if you were thinking about that, unless you have monster fingers* Grips on the sides are very good and do not catch much dirt or smudge* Good quality plastic and amazing build* One of the best cables(Better than Glorious Mice imo but not better than Cooler Master MM711)* Solid Scroll WheelCons or things you might not like-* Some people may feel it's too light. There is always a return option.* My Unit has a left click rattle issue.Since there was no more stock,I did not return it.Been using for 3 months,no issues* The plastic texture on the clicks is weird in the sense it catches more dirt from my fingers more than any other mice I've used.I clean them with colin and tissues once every week* It may take time to get used to the shape and once you do you'll slay.It took me a month..* It's very hard to palm grip the mouse because of it's low profile similar as the Glorious Model O* Dpi button is at the bottom. Not a big deal. But it is what it is.* Do not surface tune the mouse because it skips tracking sometimes once you do that. All that said the Viper is a very unique mouse and I'm happy slaying with it.Will update in future

Great gaming mouse
Have been using this one for just 2 days and I can already say that I love it. Here are my initial thoughts :- If you are coming from a heavier mouse, you will definitely notice the lightness the first time you hold the mouse. I have been using the g402 which is around 140 grams and boy is this light. But soon you will stop noticing it unless you get back to a heavier mouse.- The quality of the shell is very good despite being so light.- No complaints regarding the sensor. Perfect as you would expect from razer.- The buttons are nice and clicky. Much better feel and sound compared to my g402.- Razer uses optical switches for the LMB and RMB.. you wont notice any difference coming from a mechanical switch. I used to have a logitech g300 which had false double clicking issues for the RMB. Eventually the RMB stopped registering clicks after 1 year. So you can be assured that such an issue will be non existent in the viper due to the optical switches which is rated for around 70 million clicks.- The RGB on this mouse is just... what can I say... Razer just knows how to do RGB. The logo is evenly lit and the brightness.... Its just so bright! I keep the brightness at just 50%! Thats how bright the led gets! The colors are accurate as well.- It comes with a pair of buttons on either side of the mouse (8 programmable in total). Just dont exepect to use all the buttons. You will only be able to use 1 pair of the side buttons at a time.. If you're right handed, you can only use the left 2 buttons. The right ones just cant be pressed comfortably and vice versa. So at a time you can use 5 buttons max: LMB, RMB, scroll and the 2 side buttons.- Its good for medium to large sized hands. If you have large hands you can easily claw grip this mouse.- The only complaint I have so far is the price. Its a bit expensive. I would have gone for the viper mini if I had a choice. The mini is much smaller and can be easily claw or finger gripped. But other than that no complaints.

An Honest review after a month of use..
I have had the Razer Viper for just over a month now, when it first arrived the weight really threw me off, it felt like there was nothing in the box.I am a "semi" pro level Counter-strike: Global Offensive player, participating (and winning) competitions and have been using the Razer Naga Chroma (it's an old mouse that I have just gotten used to, the weight, the buttons ect).I was in the market for a new mouse and saw this, out of the box, I wasn't so sure, going from a 154g mouse to a 69g mouse is a massive jump. and I really wasn't sure I would get on with it, but I was pleasantly surprised.it is unbelievable, it has a really nice ergonomic grip, it glides ever so effortlessly on my mousepad. it took me a few weeks to adjust as I kept overflicking targets, but it has seriously improved my performance, it might sound stupid but the weight really does make a massive difference between speed of target selection.it's a good, solid mouse, well worth the money

Hardware ok.

Nicola

Problems with lag and macro buttons
I had read so many good reviews about the Razer Viper that I decided to buy one and try it out for myself. I had the software up and running in no time but only very shortly thereafter did I run into problems!Firstly I was having problems with the mouse freezing and lagging. I took some online advice and reinstalled the drivers, made sure they were updated, paired the mouse with my mousemat and still it was no better. I tried another mouse on the same game and had no problems at all.My second issue was with macro buttons. I had no problems getting them programmed but they wouldn't work consistently for me.The Viper is very comfortable and lightweight and the actual left and right buttons felt very positive to click and I'm sure they would last for a long time.Unfortunately I returned the Viper and got a refund. I wouldn't be buying another one, or any other Razer mouse. I will stick with a cheaper, £20, Chinese branded gaming mouse I picked up from Amazon a few years ago, which I have had zero problems with.I honestly don't feel the Viper is good value for money. Because it is so light I just wonder how sturdy it really is.
