Koshi Chime Terra/Earth

I bought the Koshi Chime for a calming sound element in my meditation space, and the tone is absolutely beautiful—soft, ethereal, and soothing. It’s lightweight and has a handcrafted, natural look that fits perfectly in a peaceful or boho setting. When it arrived, the packaging was simple but secure. The chime itself looks delicate and high-quality, and the sound it produces when it catches the breeze or is lightly tapped is pure magic. However, I made the mistake of hanging it near an open window where it was exposed to some moisture. After a few rainy days, I noticed light rust forming around the metal inside the chime. It’s definitely not waterproof and shouldn’t be left outside or anywhere humid. ✅ What I like: Gorgeous, calming sound Lightweight and beautifully made Perfect for indoor spaces or meditation rooms ⚠️ What could be better: Not suitable for outdoor use—will rust if exposed to water or high humidity A warning label about moisture would be helpful Would I buy it again or recommend it? Yes—with a warning. If you keep it dry and protected, it’s absolutely worth it. Just don’t make the mistake of hanging it outside or in the bathroom. Overall, the Koshi Chime is a lovely piece with magical sound quality—but treat it like a musical instrument, not a weatherproof decoration.

This chine has a beautiful, light sound. It's made with durable wood and metal and is also esthetically pleasing. It's the perfect calming addition to my sound bath instruments.

Beautiful sound emanates from this wind chime. Being used to always having the more traditional wind chimes with their longer hollow metal tubes and more harsh and louder sound, this Koshi wind chime is a nice contrast in both its' appearance and sound. Right now I have it hanging indoors, between the hallway and front and back doors which not only looks great, but will be the perfect place for it to hang and safely keep it protected from weather, but once the temperature warms up outdoors so the doors and windows can be opened, this wind chime will be exposed to moving air from every direction possible (not all at once) and from two different floors, so any breeze should bring peaceful and melodious chiming. The chime itself was made in France, according to the box it came in. The entire chime is light in weight as the chimes themselves, at least in this particular sized Koshi wind chime, range in thickness from the size of a pencil lead, to the thickness of a thin nail you might easily use to hang a small painting on a wall, all housed within a hollow bamboo tube. You will not need any special heavy duty hardware to hang this chime as a result. Size wise, the bamboo tube itself measures only 6 1/2 inches in length and is about 2 1/2 wide. The wind catcher at the bottom, also of bamboo, is about twice the size of a guitar pick. Adding the hanging cord length at the top of the wind chime, as well as the wind catcher, the entire wind chime, when hung measures about 14 inches in total length.

This windchime makes a lovely sound. Very exotic and calming.

Koshi is worth the extra dollars side by side next to others it has a more beautiful sound.

I love the sound of this but I was very disappointed that for $60 and “hand crafted” the center dongle was tangled in the chime. I had to use needle nose pliers to open one of the rings to remove the end to untangle it. Since I would like I set eventually (I ordered earth) I really do hope this isn’t the case for all of them..

Gorgeous , so happy with my purchase. This is indeed a unique sound it’s not a regular wind chime that you see in every household and it’s also not the bamboo chime that you see in every household … this is unique and I love it, so melodious like honey. Tranquil, sense of all is well that’s what it generates for me. Product care is needed by using oil.

Had this for a few months, sounds amazing, would only use indoors though. Had outside during a light rain and the wood is a little less than perfect. Slight discolouration. I used some white mineral oil and it’s better now.

the sound is beautiful but the ring on the string broke off as i was doing a sound healing and the chime fell hard on the floor. it really ruined the mood. it is cheaply made
