Bad experience with Morimoto bulbs
I've bought many things on amazon over the years and had rarely written reviews but I compel to do so after today's experience.I have been doing tons of research on HID because I was looking for the perfect color temperature and quality headlights for my Audi SQ5. I was deciding whether to get the OSRAM Xenarc D3S 5500K HID bulbs or these Morimoto bulbs. After reading many promising reviews, I've decided to get these Morimoto bulbs based on the good reviews and much cheaper prices. After installing them on 10/26/16, I was extremely satisfied with the results: the light output was bright, the color temperature was on point, white light with a slight hint of blue. The color definitely stood out on the road, very similar to factory LED headlights some cars have. But that didn't last too long, about a month later, around thanksgiving, I started to notice that the passenger side HID is more yellowish than the driver's side, at first I thought I was mistaken, but when I drove against a white wall at night, it' was noticeable enough for me to tell the differences. The left HID outputs a white beam with a hint of blue, but the right beam has white and slight yellowish tints to it, I would say it's about 500k to 800k difference...The next few days that I drive my car, I can always tell the different color temperature of the left and right headlight if the car in front of me is white... I was thinking, it's very annoying but not a huge deal, maybe I will just leave it for now and see, but it bothers me every time I drive with my headlights on at night since the color beam doesn't match on both lights. Now what made me write this review? When I turn on my headlights today, the left HID starts to flicker, it would flicker for a few seconds, then stops, then flickers again after a few seconds, I turned the headlights off and back on and the flickering went away.I was very dissappointed at the quality control Morimoto has, I was expecting good quality for the $70 price tag that I paid. Now I have to see if the flickering comes back, if it does, I might just go get the OSRAM Xenarc D3S HID.I will update my review after a few weeks.01/19/2017 (3 months) Updated review: The left headlight still flickers once a while and the color difference seems more significant as time goes on. I have included a very accurate picture this time.Update 2 on 2/2/17, the color difference between the 2 bulbs have gotten worse, one is white, the other once is gradually getting more yellow. ( see second picture I uploaded ) I've emailed amazon for warranty info and they asked me to contact Morimoto and guess what, Morimoto also tried to tell me it's the seller that should honor the warranty. I am not a happy camper right now... I should've stayed away from aftermarket bulbs, I should've spent $100 more and get the OSRAM or Philips Bulbs, don't make the same mistake I did.Update 3 on 2/23/2017:The flickering has gotten slightly worse and the bulbs will turn off and restart once a while too. I made a final attempt and called Amazon directly and spoke to a live representative and she was able to accommodate me and allow me return the bulbs since they have a one year warranty. I went ahead and ordered a pair of Philips 6000k HIDs right after the phone call, it was a lesson well learned.

13 months later the Morimoto bulb is flickering!
I purchased this bulb in July of 2019 and it has started to fail as of August 2020. I have always used DDM Tunning bulbs in my vehicles but I had just purchased a 2014 Range Rover Evoque and figured I would buy (nicer) Morimoto bulbs to couple with the OEM Osram ballast. While the brightness and color accuracy is better with Morimoto, the ddm tuning bulbs I have in a Pontiac g6 are still going after 7 years! 13 months later the Morimoto bulb is flickering and turning off after about 10 minutes of run time. I purchased this single bulb as a replacement for a Morimoto pair of bulbs I had originally bought from ebay. One of the Morimoto bulbs from ebay was defective right out of the box and wouldn't stay on longer than 10 minutes. The ebay seller was helpful in replacing the defective bulb but was going to take 1 week to arrive which is why I ordered a single bulb off of amazon prime two day shipping. Needless to say, my experience with Morimoto bulbs have not been good. I have reinstalled the OEM Osram bulbs back in the Range Rover until I find a suitable replacement. The old 4300k OEM bulbs are working fine which further confirms that the Morimoto bulbs are the culprit. All in all, I have had two bad Morimoto bulbs one from ebay and one from amazon. There seem to be plenty of good reviews but unfortunately that has not been my experience.

So far, so good, but we will have to see in the long run
After the initial burn-in period that took a couple days, my lights are now white and clear as expected. They are a very close match to my LED cornering lights that are 5000 K temperature. They are certainly an improvement over the stock bulbs that were looking like halogen in brightness and color. The most interesting thing about these bulbs is that they will not have a huge degradation after 200 hours like other ones in this price range. Of course, I will have to update my review in order to give an accurate picture of long term use, as this is just a manufacturer claim. Initial quality looks good enough that they might actually live up to the hype.

Color was a bit of, however I suppose that is to be expected. Seems as bright as OEM, however it remains to be seen if it lasts as long as the OEM one did (6 years).

Direct fit in my 2016 mustang GT
Direct plug and play for my 2016 Mustang GT. I've been a long time fan of morimoto for high quality at a more reasonable price point. Arguably one of the best bang for the buck.

Great bulbs for the price
So I was on the fence about these reading reviews everywhere. I wanted something whiter than stock but just as good in my 2012 S4. Long story short they look good. Exactly what I wanted and a tad brighter than stock. These are a good aftermarket upgrade, but you want something vastly brighter than stock go with CBI's.
