These are cheap priced rods but they still throw sparks like you'd expect them too. I've mounted these onto a few different kydex sheaths and will be picking up more. Highly recommend!

These are a decent size. Not too big. Not too small. They produce a great spark and will a great addition to our camping gear and get home bags.

I have been using Bayite and Light My Fire ferro rods which are great, but bought these because I am teaching youth how to use ferro rods. I was surprised how well these worked for how little they cost. I would certainly buy them again.

I didn't give it five stars mostly because of usability - specifically that you have to take the coating off them to make them work and once you do, you need to practice a lot with them a lot since while they are handy for being small, that small size doesn't give you a lot of "runway" to work the scraper or knife over to get a spark. Once you are practiced with it though- you will be able to light some great sparks.

These Ferro rods work great, small and compact.
