The Best Lego Game Yet!
I am 40 years old and I openly admit that I love the Lego games. They are a great casual gaming experience, perfect for those times when you want to play games but dont feel like playing something intense. Out of all my games, the Lego games are my favorite in regards to playing with my son, who just turned 11. Again its just a great casual gaming experience and I dont have to worry about things like violence, blood, gore, etc.. I Would honestly rate Lego games at the very top in regards to gaming for your kids. As for Lego Batman, I think its the best Lego game yet. First and foremost all of the main villains are in the game. You have the Penguin, Joker, Catwoman, Poison IVY, Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Killer Croc, Scarecrow, Two-Face, Bane, The Mad Hatter, etc.. The game is basically split in two as half of the game you play as the villains and the other half you play the side of the heroes. This is one of my favorite aspects of the game and it really works in regards to keeping things entertaining. The game never gets old as your always playing as new characters. The game is split into chapters, 3 for the villains and 3 for the heroes. Each chapter has 5 distinct levels. So basically there are 15 levels in total and you play each level as both the villain and the hero. One of my favorite aspects to this game is the different suits that Batman and Robin wear. Each suit has different abilities and you need to use the suits, in different combination's, to proceed through the levels. For example Batman has a gliding suit that allows him to glide long distances, a heat suit that makes him resistant to fire and heat, a munitions suit that allows him to plant bombs, a sonic suit that allows him to shoot a sonic gun that destroys glass objects etc. The suits are specific to Batmam and Robin and they are not interchangeable between the two. Only Batman can wear Batman's suits and only Robin can wear Robin's suits. These suits really add significantly to the game play and ultimately I think the suits are one of the main reasons why Batman is my favorite Lego game. Like the assortment of characters, the suits help keep things from feeling old or repetitious. On top of this, each character has unique weapons and moves. All of these things keep the game fresh and exciting. I also have to mention how outstanding the level design was. This is another aspect where I think Lego Batman tops the previous Lego games. Each level was interesting and well designed. Some were better than others but all of them were fun to play through. I also have to mention the achievements as my son is a big achievement hunter. The achievements were entertaining and fortunately didn't require and sort of grinding. Some were a bit challenging for him but nothing that would cause any frustration. He got his 1000. Bottom line - I am a big fan of the Lego games and have played all of them except Pirates of the Caribbean. With that being said, this was my favorite Lego game yet. Overall I think the reason for that is the overall variety that this game has. When you combine the playing of both heroes and villains, the Batman and Robin suits, and the unique moves and weapons that each character has....well, you ultimatly wind up with a Lego game that is more diverse and ultimately more entertaining than Lego's other games and that is Really saying something as I have really enjoyed all of the Lego games. If your a Batman or Lego fan then this should definitely be on your game shelf. If you havent played the Lego games yet than what are you waiting for? Lego Batman is a perfect place to start. 5 Stars!

Great Purchase! Age appropriate, funny, and not too hard.
My 5 year old son LOVES this game! And, so do I... 1. He loves being able to play as the different characters (Batman, Robin, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, The Joker, etc.). 2. It's not so hard that it frustrates him. He could work his way though the levels with minimal help from us BUT it is fun and challenging enough that I don't mind sitting down and playing with him for a bit. It's addicting! 3. There isn't any violence/nudity. The characters are developed and there is a nice little story happening in the game but there isn't anything that I deem inappropriate for his age. And, it stays true to the Lego humor, which I appreciate. Overall, a great age-appropriate game that everyone can enjoy!

Lego Batman 1
I purchased this game for my 8 year old son for Christmas. He asked for Lego Batman games, so I figured we would start with the first one and go from there. He loves this game. Out of the 3 different lego games I purchased for him, this is the one he chooses to play the most. We do video games on the weekends and during holidays etc. We play video games as a family thing and as a rewards thing. I am the one that plays this game with him, and I love it too. It doesn't revolve around a movie or comic, but it does have lots of the characters you have come to love in them. We are still working on figuring out some of the "hints" in the games that seem to be in all lego games. Like which character is allowed to do certain things in certain spots. We have figured out that the secret passages can be opened by using one of the female characters, and that the Jokers items are in Joker colors. We are still working on unlocking all of the characters for our free plays. There are several levels that you play Batman and Robin, then there are some levels where you are the villains. And of course, you can play any character you want in free play once you have completed the level an unlocked the character. There are a few times where we have both had issues figuring out what to do or where to go, but with time, we got it figured out. I wouldn't consider it as easily understood as Lego Indian Jones 1. The game we got also came with another game called Pure, which looks to be a dirt bike game. We haven't played that one as of yet, my son seems to only be interested in Lego video games at the moment.

Great fun for the entire family
I got this game for my husband and I, and we spent many fun hours playing it in cooperative mode. It is full of fun puzzles, and fun characters! I am not very familiar with the Batman franchise (unlike my husband) but I had no problems getting into it. We had previously played Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Star Wars, and I liked this game best of all! You can play it alone as well, but I highly recommend playing with someone else! It makes it so much more fun! I highly recommend this game. It is easy enough to master even by inexperienced players like myself, but challenging enough to keep the puzzles fun and engaging. We loved it!

Not The Product I Was Expecting
I Payed For The Xbox 360 Exclusive Rendition Of The Game As A Novelty And Collectors Item But Got The Backwards Compatible Xbox One To Xbox 360 Version. I'm Not Dissatisfied Or Disappointed With The Product As It Works Completely Fine For My Console Ad I Have A Xbox 360 Slim. A Glitch I Encountered In The Game That I'm Not Sure Is Exclusive To My Console Is That The Villains In Arkham Asylum Don't Spawn And It's Only The Goons Wandering Around And Thats Not What I Remember From Playing This Game On PS2 All Those Years Ago But This Doesn't Affect Gameplay However. A Nostalgic And Fun Story With 30 Levels And With Two Sides For The Villains And Heros That Connect To Eachothers Storys With Plenty Collectables To Collect With Around 46 Xbox Achievements. I Had Finished The Game, Got 100% On Everything And Got All 46 Achievements In Over 10 Hours And It Was A Really Fun Challenge. I Do Recommend This Product But If You're Looking For A Xbox 360 Exclusive Product Of This Game, This Isn't The Product You're Looking For.

Another awesome lego game
All of the lego series video games have been awesome, including this one. The first lego video me and my boys got was the Lego Star Wars series, and they absolutely loved it. Lego Batman is just as good. Really clever stories and well thought out. Good action and graphics. The kids really get excited when they get to a new level and get to use a new costume. Many interesting levels and easy enough to play. Some levels are hard to figure out, but if it was too easy, it would be boring right? If your kids are true Batman fans, they will love this. You get to fly the Batplane, go in the Batcave, use a special costume with a flying cape, and do many other cool things. Adults will enjoy this game as well. The Lego video games are always really good. I can't wait to try the new Lego Batman 2 now. An absolute good buy!
