Clarks Men's Natureveldt Oxford

Not your grandpa's Clarks Natureveldts. These are good shoes as far as fit and comfort are concerned but fall a bit short when compared to the same shoe of 20 years ago. I had two pair then and they were two of the finest shoes I've ever had. After years of wear they eventually wore out and I didn't replace them. Recently, I purchased Natureveldts again. The leather isn't the quality leather of years ago, though still good, but the major difference is the quality of craftsmanship. It isn't shoddy, but only a couple ticks above shoddy. In all, if you're looking for a shoe that's serviceable, and looks good for work or casual, and are reasonably priced, these are a good buy.

I have worn Natureveldts for many years. They are now discontinued (I got one of two pairs left in my size according to Amazon. So, this review may be pointless. These are not anything like the original Natureveldts - they are much heavier, and the sole is much thicker and of a much denser material. The laces are very large and the shoe has a much less "dressy" look then it used to. Maybe because they are made in China? The good news is they fit well, and are comfortable (if heavy to walk in), as I have always liked the large toebox.

I've owned the Natureveldts for many years. The first time I ever bought these shoes, the shoe store salesman said that the walking postal workers wear them. So I asked him what does he wear. The salesman wore these shoes so I bought them. When I have to do a lot of walking I feel these shoes are more comfortable than walking tennis shoes. The soles are very durable. However, if they need new soles just replace the shoe since a sole replacement is about half the expense of a new shoe and the uppers will separate from the sole in a short while.

This is about my fourth or fifth pair of these. They typically last about three years of NYC walking, and I usually give them up because I've worn down the heel area on one side, not because they've really given out. They don't look fancy, but are certainly acceptable. And unlike flashier shoes, you can wear these anywhere - off on a hike or to work.

For those of us who owned these back in the 1990's, they were the most comfortable shoe I had ever owned. Now they are back, and even though I just received them, they are just what they used to be.Now, hopefully, they last as long as my old pair did.

I have been purchasing Natureveldt/Nature shoes for almost 25 years since the brand was originally made in England then known as Clarks of England. Very comfortable shoes can dress up or dress down. Good for domestic and international travel, on business trips, and also walked for extended hours as a tourist on many types of streets. Arch support is sufficient, however if you have plantar fasciitis, I recommend adding additional arch support. I’ve kept on purchasing this shoe model but also kept my original Naturveldt shoes and kept resoling.

This is the fourth pair of Clarks shoes I've ordered from Amazon, all but the first at the same size, and each one has fit satisfactorily. They are just a tad long in front, because I have very difficult feet to fit. Ideally, I should take a 7E, but the Clarks styles only went to 7D, which I got at first. It was a tad tight, but wore in very nicely. Ever since, I've gotten a size 8, and I have no complaints, after going for several years without buying new shoes, because it was always such a hassle.That size 8 have been consistent across three different styles. I may never darken the door of a shoe store again.

I was new to these shoes. Heard about them for years (since the 60's I guess!) I have worn black and brown pairs for about a year now and I think they are VERY COMFORTABLE! I have no idea about the complaints that they are not up to old quality standards BUT they are extremely comfortable shoes for all day on your feet wear I was buying Propet Village Walkers up to now but they have issues with the soles cracking and they are not as comfortable as the Clarks! I am through with them.
